Well, I didn't and don't have a problem trading a rare for the PeaPS, mainly because it's like, as uncommon as it is, and you know, people will probably insist that they're worth rares until the end. It's not like someone will all of a sudden price them for what their worth. That, is in fact, highly unlikely.
This situation vaguely reminds me of the Lava Lamp and Null PPS Situation.

It's not even so much about the listed rarity rating. Yes it is only uncommon. But when you've got so many hoarding ridiculous numbers of them the true rarity is actually quite a bit higher. The best comparison I can come up with is the Joker. There's tons of them but not many in circulation. That particular dog has been treated as a Very Rare for months already. Though it's just technically turned Very Rare within the past month. I've got one PeaPS for my collection and two or three for extras. And my daughter who's most involved with the site lucked out and adopted one. Yes I over paid for the ones I traded for. But now I don't care one way or the other. I won't trade the ones I have off easily but I also won't trade much for more of them. I'm just happy with what I have ATM. And, yeah, they are listed as Uncommon but their true rarity is Rare by availability.

Yeah this one is a new growth tonight. Mine is still at kitten stage for a while. So pretty. I really like the color combination on the cats this month. *Pokes PeaPups*Grow puppies!

I think people who hoarded the Selcouth pups are reallyyyy going to wish they hoarded Peapups instead! Though personally, I kind of like the 'gargoyle' dog.
