So I find someone who looks like they'd be a good person to trade with.
They are accepting C$, have some pets I'm looking for and I have wish list pets of theirs.

All good, I think. So I start reading their rules to make sure I don't make a mistake.
Then right down at the bottom of their rules, I see there's a code word that must be used or they'll foe you.

The thing that bugged me wasn't the fact that they had a codeword, it was that the codeword was really silly and immature. And that they threatened to foe you if you don't use it?

Code words don't usually bug me.
Actually, if I'm desperate to trade with you, I'd be happy to include it.


However, I refuse to use codewords like
"Christ is lord".

This is extremely insensitive to people with different religious backgrounds.
You're forcing them to admit that your religious belief is true, where as theirs is untrue.
Basically indirectly saying "If you don't believe what I believe, I won't trade virtual pets with you."

Silly.

And very closed-minded.

Got this trade with message "Yes this is a bid I really want this pet!!1!!1" Not saying anything about all the "no-no" rules broken, but... who said I'm auctioning him? O.o
