Shadow padded along the edge of the city wall, (Assuming there is one for each kingdom; this happens to be the Light if they have a wall.) sniffing. She started to smell food and her mouth watered, she turned invisible and padded into the gates without a glace back.

Dusk.
Dusk lay in his cave, watching from the tall cliff his city. He watched the small people move around like ants, though he had never seen an ant, he was amused by that. He grinned and looked back at his treasure, the piles of ruby's; emeralds; and whatever else was shiny.

Gabriel sighed and relaxed. "Okay.." He turned back to the eggs and bacon for a minute. "Would you like to help me make breakfast for us, the pets, and the servants? I wanted to treat them, today being our 50th anniversary on the island and all."

Rino flew over the light sides walls and over the dark side of the island to the woods where he almost immediately found five plump deer, which satisfied him enough until lunch. He considered himself lucky because he could get as much food as he wants when he wants. He decided to take a nap after his large breakfast, and flew back to his small castle that he loved and was proud to call home.

Maribel finished making the few eggs they had for her pathetic excuse of a family. Which was actually very good rations considering what everybody else had. She put them on the same plastic plates that they had used since she was 9, and got out their silverware and sat down at the table waiting for Derek to wake up. She sat for a few minutes, waiting, then decided to continue working on the portrait of the king. He had given her the sketchbook and some colored pencils for her 16th birthday, but now she was almost out of pages, she secretly hoped she'd get another for her upcoming birthday in a week. She was almost finished with the portrait when her brother finally came down. "Hey Maribel." He said groggily. "Hey." She said with a smile. She put away the portrait and started eating with him
