Unlike many adoptables, this species isn't a "quick adopt, get a whole bunch" kind. Each one is unique and special. Each has it's own story, history, and future. You, as a potential owner, will not only adopt it, but actually own it.

You can try out for multiple dinos, but you cannot own more that 1 untrained one at once.
Keep in mind--Tribesman and women wear armor or leather garments, not casual clothes like hoodies or jeans.


This dinosaur is spikier than normal! That extra defense could make it a powerful dino in combat!

Dino's name: Caelum Patronus, though Rela just calls her Patronus - It means "sky protector" in Latin, and with her being the shade of blue she is, like the sky, and having greater defense than most, I think Caelum Patronus it well-fitting ^^
Dino's gender: Patronus is a female- she is strong and fierce, and will treat Rela like her own offspring, making Patronus a deadly defender of her.
Your Rider's Name: Rela

Rela is a confident, friendly, 16-year-old girl. Her hair is a warm, chocolatey brown, with wave-curls. Her eyes are a piercing green, like a cat's, and they can catch just about any sort of movement. She has a knack for sharp comebacks, and can think quickly- most of the time. Boys tend to make her nervous, and her thought process is slowed down by a tenfold around them. She, unlike her people, likes the straightforward approach, rather than the slow and steady negotiation that bores her so- she likes to battle. She's a deadly defender of those she loves, just like Patronus- if she had any choice in a battle, she'd want to find a corner. Yes, a corner. With her mindset, corners are easily defended. Sure, once you go in, you can't get out- until you destroy all of the attackers, like she always plans to. She refuses to go down without a fight, and nothing can stand in her way if she wants it desperately enough.

How do you plan to train this dinosaur?: I was planning to do a mix between drawing and writing- for some of the more difficult aspects to draw, I was going to write. Heck, I might even make a short comic-like thing if I can manage it.

•Vidar is a powerful man at first glance, even though he's quite young, only eighteen. He's on the short side, only about five foot seven inches, and quite stout in a muscular way. His eyes are at contrast with his darker-toned skin and black hair; a dark hazel-green that can be quite captivating.

•Vidar is a simple man. He keeps to himself when he wants, and seeks out company when he wants it. He's very easygoing and usually doesn't have much to complain about. When he works, he works hard and long and gets the job done. But he is a perfectionist and he knows there's only one way to do something- the right way. Just like anyone, though, Vidar has a breaking point, and when his temper finally goes he's a man you want to stay away from, especially in battle, and his dino matches this ferocity step for step.

If this dino were mine, I'd call her "Alika". It means "Ripple" in Swahili. I saw the stripes on her neck and thought that they looked like rippling water.

My rider's name is Leanisa. Lea is a character I've been developing for a while. She is very headstrong and loyal. She's not afraid to fight for what she believes in, which can sometimes cause her to fail to see the other side of an argument. I believe that Lea and Alika would be a great team. Alika's extra defense would help defend them when Lea charges into battle without properly weighing the odds. I think that their two headstrong natures would work together into creating a strong team that would be unstoppable.

Of course! Training Alika would be Lea's greatest challenge yet, but she'd tackle it happily. I would write stories about the two of them. I actually take Creative Writing Classes everyday at school, so I could work on some of my training stories during my free time there.

[The One & Only Vapor]

Hey...you never gave a warning!!! I was just working really, really hard on my form, even going so far as to make a ref of my character I'd created, and I come home from my brother's football practice to find this beautiful dino...gone.
And there was never a warning or anything. No time whatsoever.

I'm sorey if I sound all whiny and rude, but don't you think that's a little unfair that I worked so hard on prettying it up, tried so hard to make a cohesive character...and then found the bernikesaur already won?

I'm sorry, I normally give warnings, I never realized I forgot for this one. Really I apologize, but I would prefer in the future that you take this to a PM and perhaps address the issue in a little more mature way. I will be especially sure to give a decent warning in the future.

Learning to Trust

Leanisa climbed over the fence, some extra bits of meat clutched in her hand. She knew that Alika was probably either scared or furious, but she had to approach her. If they were going to be a team, they had to trust each other.

"Alika" she called softly, squeezing the meat tightly. "Ally! Come here sweet girl."

The dinosaur turned to stare at Lea, snorting in confusion. She took a few steps towards Leanisa, swishing her tail back in forth. Lea knew that the dinosaur never had been around humans before, and didn't know what to think of them.

Lea stretched her hand out, offering the meat to the dinosaur. "I'm not going to hurt you."

Alika stretched her tongue out and licked the meat up in one clean sweep. Lea could see her throat swell as she swallowed them hole. Leanisa reached a hand towards Alika, hoping that the dinosaur couldn't sense her fear.

She placed her hand on the dinosaur's cool, pebbly snout. Alika let out a snort of surprise, but did not knock Lea's hand away. Lea slowly placed her other hand on Alika's snout as well, and started to rub her.

After a painful silence, the dinosaur started to let out noises of happiness.

Saddling Up

"It's time, Alika." Lea called, a blunt end to her voice. "Come over here girl, we gotta tack up."

The dinosaur snorted, but did not disobey Lea's order. She lay down in the dirt, not understanding what drove her to submit so easily. She still wasn't sure about all of this, but following their orders felt...right.

Lea didn't want to surprise Alika. She placed her hand where the saddle would go, and began to talk to the dino. "Shh girl, it's alright. Something heavy's about to go on your back, but it's okay." she cooed as she adjusted the heavy piece of equipment, then lowered it carefully onto the creature's back.

Alika jumped up, not all of the way, but enough to knock Lea away. The saddle shifted, and the movement spooked the dinosaur further. She let out a bellow of fear.

"Stop!" Lea shouted, propping herself up on one arm and ignoring the pounding in her head. "Alika, stop and look at me!"

The great lizard's huge orbs fixed on Lea's. The human returned the gaze firmly. Alika started to shrink, turning to clamp the saddle in her jaws. Lea stumbled to her feet and walked over to help the dinosaur straighten the saddle. She tightened straps, slipped leather through loops, and triple-checked every buckle. Alika barely breathed throughout the whole procedure. Lea must have shocked her into listening to him.

The bridle came next. Lea pulled the newly crafted object off it's hook, and showed it to Alika. "This is going in your mouth." she stated, then climbed up to the dino's level started to carefully work it onto Alika's snout.

Alika accepted the bridle immediately, and was still while Lea attached it to the proper parts of the saddle.

Hmm. Lea thought as she worked. She only listened after I yelled at her. Maybe she responds better to force then other dinos do.

"Let's ride." Lea whispered. She placed her hands on the dinosaur's pebbly back, and swung her leg over.
