Buying pets for C$ may be a little tricky but 550 is worth WAY more than the BMD. It's worth a line tribal and even if you couldn't get quite that you should at very least be able to get a blue balloon dog. While it is technically the closest to fair if you were able to trade the BMD for a BA it is possible you might be able to get more than either of the others - but there's no guarantee of that.
