If this beauty was mine, I would name her "Aibu". It means "shy" in Swahili, a language that I love! All the names that were used in "The Lion King" are all Swahilian.

My rider's name is Leanisa. Lea is a character I've been developing for a while. She is very headstrong and loyal. She's not afraid to fight for what she believes in, which can sometimes cause her to fail to see the other side of an argument. Despite Aibu and Lea's clashing personalities, I believe that they will be a fantastic pair. Aibu will hold Lea back as she tries to jump too fast into something, and Lea will push Aibu past her limits. I believe that Leanisa is a wonderful rider for Aibu.

Physically, Selene is the 'underdog' of her family, small, and appears quite weak, although she has a fierce determination if one just looks deep enough. Her hair is ebony in color, with strange, moon-kissed tips, her hair is pitch black at the roots, yet streaks with the same silver as her eyes until they arrive at the tips, resting just below her bony shoulder-blades. Her skin is pale from a life below ground, hidden in the dark Mat'huen caves. Due to the fact that some cave ceilings are quite low, she is short and weak in appearance. Due to the shortage of good food, she is underweight, but she doesn't allow it to stop her fierce determination to prove her tribe incorrect. You see, Selene was born mute. She has been unable to speak since the day she was born. With this disability, her family does not believe that she will ever be able to do anything other then be a gatherer, an unimportant subordinate for her tribe. If one takes the time, however, to see, and look into her sorrowful, almond-shaped silver eyes, you will read so many emotions. Hope, sorrow, grief, insecurity and in the moment when she saw Kelila, utter joy. Her dream is to not capture, but befriend a Bernikesaur, and perhaps finally accepted by her tribe. Personality-wise, Selene dislikes being around other tribe-members, as she fears being mocked. Although she lacks the ability to speak, she can be sweet if she tries, often going out searching from early morning until late dusk just to find some berries above ground as a small gift for her family, not that it's ever noticed. Selene attempts to be brave, and tries to be a heartless warrior, but occasionally she doesn't have the courage to stand the sight of blood.
