I just rewatched a horror anime episode that I had seen around a year ago and I can't believe that I had missed such a huge plot point when I first watched it. I mean, yes, I enjoy the episode much more knowing it, but that was basically the whole point of the episode. How did I manage to miss that with so many blatant hints?
