The Plot
You're a lone wolf, no food, no strength,
and no chance of survival. You have
wandered all your life and have yet to
find someone, anyone. One day, you come
across a huge valley, lush, green and
full of wild life. Looking around you see
two packs racing about, fighting, hunting
and caring for their loved ones. What is
your choice? Leave them be and continue
the life of a loner? Or sce-dadle on down
and check the valley out.

Facts;
Wolves actually have a low hunting success rate. To catch enough food, wolves must hunt often and test many animals before finding one that they can catch and kill.

Cannibalism is common amongst wolves.Wolves are extremely opportunistic carnivores, and they will not miss a chance at a meal. Living in some of the most unforgiving terrain on the planet, they are sometimes forced to eat sick or injured members of the pack, and any wolf that has died is generally fair game. Wolves caught in snare traps must be very quickly attended to by hunters or they will be torn apart by other wolves. When two packs come into contact, very often they will engage in a fatal battle, with the alpha males most often being killed. Sometimes they are even eaten by their own offspring.

On average, gray wolves will eat 20 to 30 pounds of meat in one meal, but have also been known to go up to 14 days between meals with no ill effects.

Wolves eat their prey alive.As reported above, wolves will eat nearly anything to stay alive, but their preferred meal is large ungulates (such as deer, moose, and elk). Unlike bears or big cats, wolves do not have an anatomical weapon capable of quickly dispatching such large animals. They kill by attrition, the entire pack swarming and slashing at the haunches and perineum, ripping away at the legs and the gut, until their victim collapses from exhaustion. They begin eating immediately, even though the prey is often still alive for quite some time.

Wolf pups are born blind and deaf, and must be cared for until they mature at around ten months of age.

Black wolves don’t occur naturally.A 2008 study at Stanford University found that the mutation responsible for black fur occurs only in dogs, so black wolves are the result of gray wolves breeding back with domestic canines. The mutation is a dominant trait, like dark hair in humans, and is passed down to the majority of offspring. It is not entirely clear what benefit black fur has for the animals; they do not seem to be more successful hunters, but do show a marked improvement in immunity to certain infections. Black wolves are far more common in North America than they are in the rest of the world.

Mating season for the wolf occurs in February and March. The gestation period for the wolf is 63 days. Wolf pups are born in April and May. The average litter size for the wolf is 4 to 7 pups.

Wolves find dogs delicious.Although they are closely related (practically the same species) and can readily interbreed, many wolves consider dogs prey items. In a fight, the even large dogs are generally outmatched, as wolves of equal size have larger teeth and a more devastating bite. In Russia, where stray dogs have become a serious problem since the fall of the Soviet empire, they have become a staple in the diet of wolves. Often, a single wolf will solicit a dog to follow, and lead it into an ambush by the remainder of the pack. Only the largest and fiercest livestock guardians such as Caucasian Shepherds generally have a chance defending themselves.

whilst the Dawn Pack
prefer the flat forest
grounds below. Both

fighting over rights to
drink for the streams
and rivers that
separates the territorys.

Personality; Karli is very particular with how things are down; She likes orders to be done precisely as the way given. As a part time mother of two, Karli often takes time off to help train her son and daughter. When she was young, Ka was destined to 'marry' a brute called Jubilee, but once she had his pups, he was cruel to her for having only two pups, and that they both weren't grey like him, scarring her for life. Now she hates wolves with dark coats, and brutes for that matter.

Personality; Bright, adventurous and happy, Simte is a spry, hyper young male. As he does not remember his father to well, he is not as mentally scarred as his sister, though a couple times a week, Simte will have flash-backs of his father contiuing to drop him on his head as a new born, causing him to moan and howl for a couple minutes.

Personality; As the muscle of the siblings, Ika is thought to be more aggressive than Simte (Which is true), but she is also very quiet and tends to keep away from everyone else in the pack. Being daughter of the beta, she is expected to be outgoing and well behaved.. But sadly she isn't. Ika is very shy, though when bored can be a pain and often picks fights with wolfs around her age. Ika hates being a grey colour, as her mother doesn't really like her, and tries not to show it, but Ika knows it, and hate herself for being born grey.
