There are quite a few of this month's staff pets which formed an automatic association in my mind with other pets, which led me to the thought that if CS pets were real, these ones would be best friends or even relatives. I also added my comments about the current month staff pet from each set.
Let's start with this totally sweet pair of Southern belles.

The (2013) Staff Pet: From an artist's perspective, this dog is exquisitely beautiful. I mean, stunning in all her detail. From a design standpoint, though, there is so much going on with her! Every element is very well executed, there are just a few too many elements to handle looking at all at once. Still, I would say this is a favorite. That hair, those eyes, the accessories... really lovely. With spiked accessories, odd hairstyles, and manic smiles, these two make a handsome couple!

The Staff Pet: This pet is too cute! Love the ears and tail, as well as that hoof-like leg marking. This is one of the few pets released on CS that seems gender-ambiguous to me, which is something that adds extra interest to the personality of this dog.A trio! Even though these three pets have very different styles and themes, I couldn't help but draw a correlation from the attitude, mane, movement of the tail and heterochromia (for the first two).

The (2013) Staff Pet: Wow! I am really impressed with the edits on this one. Love the intricately-detailed, tribal-looking markings and the sheer fluffiness, but of course the best part of this dog is the theme.
