Hi guys!

So I'm not part of this club, but I'm interested in becoming Wiccan. I've been raised Catholic my whole life, but it's just not my thing. I heard about Wicca in a book series I read and thought it sounded like my kind of religion. I'm just not sure exactly how to start. I've read a few things online and a part of a book about Wicca, but I'd appreciate if an actual Wiccan could give me any suggestions on how I should start. Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks guys!

Hey there!

Starting out, I found it was challenging. There's so much information to absorb. But do the absorbing the best you can. Of course, you'll need some supplies. It's always good to have candles (or something to represent them) on hand. Also, I would read up on what kind of Wicca you wish to practice. There's an incredible amount of variations.

Uh hi, sorry if I'm interrupting any conversations...Well, uh, I wanted to talk about a few things. First, my dad seems to approve of my boyfriend but I still don't get to see him often because we go to different schools. Second, a girl at my school wants me to teach her about Tarot, and Wicca in general...Her mom seems to be Wiccan but won't teach her anything for unknown reasons, hid the family tarot deck and hid all magick books. She's a found a few but I don't know, what should I be teaching her??? Third, a different girl at school doesn't like Christianity and thinks Wicca is interesting. She likes what I've told her of how I view my beliefs about Wicca, and now calls my her mentor, or 'Crow-Sempi'. So I gave her a few papers to read on the full Wiccan Rede, the 'normal' eight words that some people use on their own, the triple curse, runes and herbs and sabbats. Just some basics though. So what should I teach her now? She wants to know 'everything' and has even spoken of us starting a coven...but we're the only Wiccans in the area, besides her friend at another school who I haven't met...Also, she wants quizzes and worksheets on herbs, runes and such but I can't think of anything >.< Help??? --- In perfect love and perfect trust (and perfect confusion), "Crowetta Goldtalon"

You should quickly write down some questions for her! If she wants to start a Coven, you should explain to her her that she has to be dedicated and serious, and that there will be very few people. Teach her some more runes, make she she knows them and what they are for... Make her feel welcomed to Wicca and show her what Wicca is all about!
