I managed to beat Red with levels 50-100. If your Typhloshion knows Blast Burn, hit his Venusaur once with it, and keep using Full Restores. For me, though with my Charizard, he never used a Full restore and Hail got 'em.

I think I heard that when you fight only certain Pokemon, it raises certain stats, and that has something to do with EV training...?

I've defeated Lance, finally. I had a team of six, but really my core team were Quagsire, Crobat and Wobbuffet. Ampharos to some extent, Meganium and Dragonair were cannon fodder really, to give me time to full-restore Wobbuffet.

I have a habit of randomly battling Lance at random times.

Also, traded out my Flareon for Vulpix. My Vulpix is named Shippo. -shot- I plan on evolving him when I get a Fire Stone.


AND IT WORKS. C'ause Shippo is 'foxfire' and Vulpix is a Fire-type Fox. -shot again-
