I love lurking the Oekaki and would love to draw more on there but I can't draw on the beginner for being past it but some of the drawings on the Intermediate make me feel like I shouldn't be on there due to so many amazing artists drawing there. I feel like I'm stuck in the middle of the two.
Maybe we could add another Oekaki board called Expert/Advanced for all those serious epic drawings and leave the Intermediate board for mid ground artists?

we have considered splitting the boards up more but we're not quite ready to do so yet. We are considering having an invite-only/voting based advanced board in the future
in the meantime, here's a helpful hint for you: the 'most popular of all time/most popular this week' boards display a set amount of the 'most liked' pics from each board. If you're posting at the upper end of the beginners board then you're much more likely to appear in the most popular gallery than if you're at the lower end of the intermediate board. So, if you're unsure of where to post a pic, you would probably get more exposure by posting in beginners. If you think it's intermediate level then feel free to post there, the worst that can happen is that it gets moved back.

Thank you Tess. :3
I don't feel like my art belongs in beginners but it's most definitely the lower end/middle of the intermediate board. Plus my oekaki pictures seem to be worse than my photoshop stuff.
And I'm not looking for popularity really. I could care less about the popular gallery. I just get annoyed how I post something and it gets covered up but all these great art pieces, some from 2009 and early 2010.

yeah the beginners board also moves really fast, at least with the gallery function people can still dig up your pics xD
my oekaki pics are also worse than my photoshop stuff but I think the more you use oekaki the more comfortable you are with it and then you can get a similar standard of art out of both. I never used chibipainter before CS and I'm not interested in learning it, I love photoshop too much xD

Lol. xP When I lurk the beginners board I never have seen people digging up old stuff. But I don't lurk there much.
I just noticed
this fanart piece I did got moved to beginners. I personally think it doesn't fit in beginners but more low end of Intermediate. >_< If that piece is considered beginners than there should be more intermediate stuff that should be in beginners.
It also makes me think people are seeming to label Intermediate as the major top end and if it isn't top end it's beginners.
I mean I have really old crap work still in Intermediate work back when there wasn't that many epic artists on the oekaki. Why does my fanart of Total Drama get moved to beginners but my old crap like
this and
this get to stay.

I swapped that one you just showed for one of your old pics. I don't know why it was moved originally, I don't think it was me that did it
we prefer that pics in intermediate have backgrounds so maybe that's where the distinction was made, but I agree with you that one isn't beginners
some discontinuity arises from having multiple people moving pics around to their best estimation of where something belongs

That's fine. XP As long as it doesn't get bumped up I'm good. I hate when my old artwork gets bumped by grave diggers.
Thank you for moving it back. I personally couldn't think of a detailed background and I figured a simple background with a kind of raggedy/broken border would do good. XP The border had meaning though and was suppose to be a rose bush but my roses fail. <_<;;
True, true. I can understand if the piece is clearly in the wrong section but if it's the lower end of intermediate but too high for beginners it should stay in Intermediate.
And Tess, thank you for being so helpful. :3 Wolf-Haven's mods are rude and nasty and it's nice to come here to people actually wanting to help. Wolf-Haven's owner will mute you AND yell at you just for giving out the secret location of the Legendary White Taco when there is no rule on the site that says to not give it out. I wouldn't even be referring the site in my siggie if they didn't give rewards for it. x_x

I'm kind of glad there isn't an advanced/invite only oekaki. One of the reasons I love the CS community is because everyone for the most part is supportive and helpful of each other. On many other oekakis I've found that a superiority complex develops in the advanced/invite only/have to try out oekakis. I like the CS oekaki the way it is.

I would only prefer an advanced oekaki because due to all the epic art on the intermediate oekaki I feel like the bottom of the barrel on that thread.
But the thing is my serious art doesn't belong on the begginers oekaki. I'm stuck between the boards since I feel like the Intermediate oekaki is trying to throw off the vibe that it only wants epic work.
I would prefer an Advanced board/Invite only so that the Intermediate board holds it's true name, for those artists in middle. And currently there is a lot of epic work on there that most people don't call Intermediate but Advanced.
