Rhode blinked, cutting her tune off in the middle of it, glaring at him. "Right at the best bloody part, too," she growled, "What do you want?" After asked, she didn't exactly wait lonf for an answer before turning away to stare at the sky again. 'Jeez, they could have at least put up some shade for us, this is ridiulous,' she thought to herself, huffing out loud and completely forgetting Kayl was there. She shrugged in reply to her own thought and started humming again.

[Forsaken Moon]

Kayl stood there for a second, somewhat amused by the girl in front of him.

"You have a bit of a short term memory, don't you? What I was saying was, my name is Kayl and asking what yours was. I'm hoping to get to know everyone a little bit before they seperate us into groups and start the competition. Alright?" He asked, tilting his head to the side, some his long hair spilling out the side of the hood and hanging down.

Rhode glared at him again. Stopping the tune from esccaping her lips. "Ugh, pesky, aren't you," she muttered, sitting up. "I'm Rhode, and no, I don't have a short term memory, just a short attention span on annoying objects." she siighed, glancing around yet again. "Why do you want to know everyone for, trying to get a head start, hunh?" she shrugged at her own question, "Whatever, I don't care."

"Just because it's a competition doesn't mean we can't all be friends with each other. Besides, if we all take the time to get to know each other beforehand, when we get sorted into teams it won't matter who we're paired with, because we'll already be with a friend." Kayl said, smiling at her.

"Besides...I won't give up until I make you smile at least once." He added, smiling again for emphasis.

[Spoopy Season]

Julia saw Nina with the muesli bar. Not wanting to stir anything up that could cause them both a tonne of trouble, she timidly walked over, "Hey, um, I don't think you should have that. Rules state that there's no outside food or drink permitted..." She tried her best to look at Nina dead in the eyes, but she could only look at her whole face, instead of focusing on her narrowed spheres of sly tricks. She played with the buttons on her flannel and fixed the sleeve by rolling it up and tugging on it to make it straight and even with the other one.

"What are you, five?" she asked. "Go tattle on me then." She gruffly stuck up her middle finger, waving her hand about in the girl's face. "This is the only thing I'll be able to eat out here. I'm vegan, in case you didn't realise. Did you even bother reading up on your opponents? I hear you're a timid little fly. Shoo." She leant back in her chair, revealing what looked to be a leather belt. "Are you deaf? Jesus, you look like you're about to cry!" She stood and forced Julia to look at her. Of course, being as tall as she was it was somewhat awkward. "I'm going to give you some advice. Grow. Up."

Rhode blinked, staring at him. She then made a choking noise, pretending to throw up. "Ugh, that smile is so sweet it's gone sour!" she muttered, "You won't leave until I smile? Then you'll be here for while, mate." she told him before looking away. She sighed. "Hey, dude with the camera, when is this thing gonna start anyways?"

"Not even if I tell you about the time I accidentally dyed my twin sister's hair flamingo pink and she threw me over a staircase and into a wall?" He asked, smiling at her again. He was determined to make this grumpy girl smile, simply because he felt that in doing so he would brighten her day, at least for a few moments. He rubbed his left shoulder again without thinking while he waited on a reply.
