Chief nodded slightly and smirked when his best friend nuzzled him. As a pup, he had always hung out with Ryder and Ember. He loved them both and for a moment he was reliving the moment when he was going to ask Ryder to be his mate but Ember had shown up. He never regretted being Ember's mate but he always went back to the what-ifs. What if Ember and never come back and he had become Ryder's mate? What if his and Ember's pups had been his and Ryder's? He looked at his best friend and looked in her eyes. Unlike most, he could clearly read her and could see she felt the same for him but wouldn't get in the way of Ember. He dared not say what he was thinking instead he stayed on Ember. "You think she will come back?" He asked her hopefully. "She has left before, what's going to keep her from doing the same again?" He asked and moved closer to her.

She smiled as she saw him begin to cheer up a little. Then he had asked her a question and she began to think about it. It was hard thinking because she had to make sure she chose her words carefully. The last thing she would need would to truely hurt Chief. He would probably never want to hear from her again and demote her of her ranking in the pack. That was the last thing she ever wanted to happen, so she thought carefully about her answer and words." Honestly, I have no idea. If she left for good it would not be a surprise. She is a run off after all, it hurts to know my bestfriend's mate thinks it's okay to just run off. Leaving her pups and mate behind not even thinking about anybody, but herself. Ember doesn't deserve you Chief. You and these pups deserve better! What if they aren't even your's? She just pinned them on you, so you wouldn't get all suspicious? I love Ember to death like a sister, but sometimes I cannot trust that female. Don't take it personally Chief, but at least think about it.," Ryder told him as she nuzzled Koda lightly and licked his pelt watching a smile form on his lips. He walked over to his aunt Ryder blindly and rubbed into her fur happily. Koda seemed to enjoy her presence whenever she came around. Ryder just thought about how she isn't around as much and felt sorta bad. The pups still needed to feed on their mother until they were around seven months old. She sighed softly, but let go of the thought and just began to smile. Then she had the same thoughts Chief had earlier. What if these were their pups? What if he had chosen Ryder of Ember? Would he still be in this state? She knew for a fact if she was expecting Chief's pups she wouldn't runoff the way Ember did. It's dangerous and truely selfish of her to do such thing. Ember was lucky she had found Ryder and Chief, before her pups were ready. "How about we go round up the pups and all go for a walk somewhere, hm? That includes CJ, and his outsider girlfriend, Rain, and Koda.. Also, my look alike, Ryan. Where is she at anyways?," Ryder asked him with a raised eyebrow. She was starting to think that him and Ember weren't very responsible with their pups, being that they have all run around and what not.

Chief stood as Ryder mentioned a walk. "Oh Ryan is going to be easy to find. She's just like you. She loves adventure but she also follows the rules like you did as a pup." He smiled remembering the past. "She stays around the pack. Now CJ and his girlfriend, they will be hard to find. She always takes him off into the woods. They never play in the pack territory." He told her as he nuzzled Koda lovingly.

Ryder loved to hear a little bit of good news today. She howled for her Ryan to appear to them. One thing Ryder did not enjoy was the fact that the pups did tend to run off without their parent's consent or even letting their parents know. Ryder picked the pup up by his scruff and put him on Chief's back. " You go find Ryan and I will hunt down my so- I mean. I will go find CJ and his little girlfriend.," She nodded to Chief and then turned on her heels. The female ran off as quick as she possibly could to find CJ and Louis. After a ten minute run she howled for him or his girlfriend to respond. She needed them to come with her, Chief, Ryan, and Rain to go for a walk. They needed to remember that family always comes first no matter what.

CJ's ears perked up as he heard his aunt howl for him. He stopped in his tracks and howled back. He didn't know why exactly he did but he couldn't help himself.

Ry looked up from Silver and towards the howl of her aunt. "That's my Aunt Ryder. I better see what she wants." She said turning back to the fae. "See you later!" She smiled and padded off.

Chief watched Ryder leave and smiled. He knew she was about to call CJ her son and he liked the idea. He turned around and saw Ryan padding towards him. He lifted her up and set her beside her brother. "We are going for a walk with your Aunt Ryder, kids."

When she finally reached the two pups she smiled a little bit. Then she stopped right in front of them clearing her thoat."CJ, we need to go home and you can bring your little girlfriend with you too, but include your siblings please. Your brother feels highly neglected because of you. Make him happy and make your dad proud. I know you can do it, and your mother was even thinking about kicking you out of the race for to top dog.," she told him with a small smile on her muzzle as she nosed her pups. Ryder picked up CJ by his scruff,You're more than welcome to join hun. Just abide by all rules and listen to orders.," Ryder nicely told her as she began to pad off with CJ trapped in her teeth. She wasn't going to let him say no to this offer of family time. The alpha family was practically tearing apart. Ember had been running off a lot lately and CJ was never home. Rain always wandered the territory. Sunny was already dead and Koda just sits there blindly wishing he had someone to play with. Sometimes she even wondered what had happened to little Dylan. Shortly afterwards she found herself standing in front of Chief and the pups. Ryder lowered her muzzle and nuzzled Ryan with a gentle smile and looked at Chief nodding to let her know she was ready. Then she heard Rain rushing over to be with them and Koda following her shortly afterwards.

Chief licked Ryder's muzzle and started to walk beside her. He couldn't stop thinking of Ember leaving but faked a smile for the pups. He didn't want them to know their mother had left them behind. He walked close enough to Ryder that their coats brushed each other. He looked down at all his pups walking along with them and thought This is what it would be like to be Ryder's mate.

Ryder kept the pups in sight with her paws and smiled a bit as the pups ran under them and jumped on them. The female ran after Rain and Koda playfully before running back to chief's side. She rubbed up against him playfully and nodded towards the pups. Then she looked into his eyes for only a matter of seconds before nipping his shoulder."Don't be afraid to play with the children chief. They wont be young forever.,"[color=#808080] she told him as she softly sighed wondering what it'd be like to have her.own children. She brushed the thought aside knowing it would be impossible for her without a mate or a bestfriend who knew her pain.
