Ryder had just passed by Ember who seemed to be fleeing away from the pack. The female raised her eyebrows as she ran back in to the pack. She looked for Cheif along the bottom of the playground then looked up to see him in the top dog's resting area for them. Quickly, she ran up the stairs, across the jiggling bridge and up to the top part of it to get to him. She looked at the male and then the pup in slight confusion. Her head tilting to the side as she waited for him to start explaining. Even though she had been gone for a couple of days lurking the city for other things, she always came back afterwards." I've only been gone a few days and there was a problem. What's wrong with Ember?," she asked him as she shook her coat free of dirt and the webs she had ran through while in the city. Ryder had sat near a pole that kept the building in place while managing to keep her eyes on him.

Chief didn't look up at Ryder. Instead, he let out a sigh. "She is in one of her moods again Ry. CJ has been spending all his time with an outsider pup and has been ignoring his siblings. I made the mistake of saying they may turn out like she and I did and fall in love as pups and she didn't like the idea. She said he should just enjoy being a pup and not worry about love." He paused and looked up raising his ears. "Ryder, do you think she regrets all this? Do you think she wishes we hadn't fallen in love as pups?" He looked down at Koda sleeping peacefully. "Does she regret the pups." He whispered as a tear rolled down his muzzle.

Ryder listened to him surprised by almost every word he had said. She knew for a fact that Ember loved her family. There was never a doubt in it, but she began to think back to when they were just pups. If Chief would've chosen her instead of Ember he wouldn't be in this mess. Then again she saw where her friend, Ember, was coming from. It was frustrating to see your pup at a young age fall in love and now Ember knew how her own mother felt when she fell for Chief at a young age. Ryder shook her head at him,"Chief, don't think like that. She's probably frustrated to see her baby starting to like someone. Now she knows how her mother felt when she fell for you so young. It's not something you'd want to think about at such the young age we are. I could understand if we were about 8 years old, but we aren't. She's just having a hard time accepting the fact that CJ is growing up too fast. He's going to regret growing up fast to, because one day that outsider is going to want pups and they'll have some. Then CJ will come running back to you asking for help. Don't let him grow up to fast Chief.. She doesn't regret the pups, she doesn't want them to grow too fast and think about becoming grandma Ember before she's atleast 5 years old.," she told him as she nuzzled her best friend. She licked the tears off his face and looked at Koda with a gentle smile. In her eyes she saw the alpha family tearing apart. What was going to happen next?
