He sighed, glancing around as he grew slightly hungry.

"See?" Aine said triumphantly, pausing to rub her eyes. Her back was still very sore from her father's whipping the night prior. She involuntarily rubbed her bandage again, and then tried to continue sharpening, but her eyes wouldn't focus. She sighed and put the stone and knife in her lap. Her eyes were slowly falling shut.

Damien smiled slightly before falling asleep.

Yuki frowned. "We shoulda brought food."

He coughed, looking at her with raised eyebrows.

Clutching Damien's stone and her knife in her hand, Aine allowed herself to drift asleep, her head leaned back against the wall.
