What Is a Cloud Chaser?
A cloud chaser is a mix between dragon, snake and dog. cloud chasers have mouths, but they like to comunicate telipathicaly sometimes. they don't have legs, so they are flying all the time, except when they are asleep, in which they use their tails to hang by. they are extremely fast and their wings beat almost as fast as a humming bird. they can have a varitey of horns and spikes. cloud chasers are very loyal and protective of their owners, like a dog, but under no curcumstances do you provoke them in anyway, these creatures have an excelent memory and will offten go years without speaking to their owner if hurt emotionally or angered. thought cloud chasers live indefinately, they are by no means immortal, and do get old, or hurt.
what do cloud chasers eat?
cloud chasers don't eat. they hate killing things unless they are protecting themselves or others, becides the fact that their bright colors make it hard for them to hunt. insted, they use special gems given to them at birth to take in engery around them. they never take ot off, but very rarely, the gem will come loose or break off during a fight. if this occurse, the cloud chaser will die within a few days. but no worries, as i said before, this is an extremely rare occurance.
Where do they live?
cloud chasers can live anywhere, but they are mostly found in deciduous forests. they loves trees, but are often seen flying high above the canopy chasing one another around or playing games to practice their agility or speed!
are cloud chasers solitary?
yes and no. wild cloud chasers like in small tribes, usually led by the largest one. in tribes, every cloud chaser cares for one another. if thy are owned by a person, they will follow that person around, even out to public places. they cannot be left alone for long, or they will eventually find away out of the place you put them and find you. they have an amazing sence of smell,so if you've been away for more than four hours, you better be expecting to see your little friend very soon!
How big are they?
when they are first born, they are about the size of a small bird. when cloud chasers are fully grown, their size can range fron small house cat to the size of a hawk or eagel.

As i have explained before, wild cloud chasers live in tribes among the dense trees. each tribe as 20 to 25 cloud chasers in it, if not more.
Leaders: the tribes are led by the largest or wisest cloud chaser. it isn't unusual to see a tribe being watched over and led by a female, in fact females are held at very high respect in tribes, but it is more likely for males to lead. leaders wear amor sometimes and only go into a battle if it is appsolutly needed at the time of a dire situation.
Protectors: Protecters can be on any gender, and almost always have extra spikes or horns on them for fighting and defending their tribe. there are about 5 to 7 protecters in a tribe. when a leader dies, usually the largest or oldest protecter takes over. protectors aren't agressive unless your provoke them or threaten their tribe, in which case, they will attack with full force. protecters get specially made armor to protect themselves.
then comes the lookouts. lookouts are the fastest and most sharp eyed cloud chasers in the tribe. they warn the tribe if they spot something that could be a danger to them. they also carry messages between tribes. there are 1 to 2 lookouts in a tribe, never any more.
Herb Healers: there is only 1 to 2 herb healers in a tribe. it requiers a lot of pacience and memory to master their skills, so very few can become healers. the healer is usually the most caring and compationate cloud chaser who loves helping others in a time of need. when healers come to a great age, they will train another who has the same intrests as they did and still do. herb healers can have a mate and childeren if they wish to, but very few do because they are too busy with caring for others.
Queens: queens are mothers or soon to be mothers. they are cared for untill they can resume their duties as what ever posistion they had before they had their childeren. they decide the place their young get be observing each one's behavior carefully over the periods of months that they care for their young. this group can have an indefinate numer of queens, but normally there are about five queens at one time.
Wise-ones: this group is made up of the oldest living cloud chasers in the tribe from all groups. they have survived countless deisasters, battles, hard seasons, and have gathered knowledge for many years. they are consulted by the leader in a time of crisis for advise. they have lived for thousands of years and are cared for by the whole tribe.
