Paradiseclan [Cats with Powers] Closed

Long ago, in a land rich with prey and filled with the beautiful Birds of Paradise, an ancient cat called Fallenwind was born into Paradiseclan. But this was no ordinary cat, he was given the power of all fours elements by Starclan to ready the Clan for the troubles that would arise in the moons to come... because as Fallenwind took a mate, the powers were passed down to each of four kits. Four elements in all. The cats of current Paradiseclan inherit Fallenwinds powers.

The moon rose high over a large, low to the ground tree, with nests filled with sleeping pelts up and down the branches. Some cats were sleeping in dens below the tree. A grey she-cat was perched on the highest branch, silhouetted against the skyline. Her eyes were locked onto the moon as a cloud seemed to come out of nowhere to block out the moon, leaving the ground below black. As the grey she-cat retreated below, landing silently on her paws, she heard a voice call out her name. "Greenstar?" the voice called again. "Yes, Ivoryear?" the she-cat sounded uneasy as she answered to the black tom, with one white ear, that was her medicine cat. "You saw something didn't you..." he read worry in her mew. "That cloud blocked out the moon... and i saw shadows all around seeming to move to and fro," Greenstar said as her voice grew heavy. "And i heard a voice from one of the shadows saying something that i couldn't make out-" she was cut off as the shadows surrounded Ivoryear, sucking him into the bushes with a screech of horror that was soon cut off. "I-ivoryear... No..." she whispered as the shadow took shape of a cat. "There will be more blood split..." its voice barely audible, disappearing as the cloud moved past the moon.

Greenstar lay in her small nest at the bottom of the tree, writhing and twitching in her sleep.
"What do you mean?" she was meowing to the cats of Starclan that had surrounded her in her dream. "Why did Ivoryear have to die?!" she protested as the cats silently eyed her. Finally one spoke. "That was not us, that was the Dark Forests work. They have managed to give a cat the power to control the Shadows." a tabby tom said, with worry cloaking his voice. Another piped up, "We have summoned you here to give you a prophecy," A white she-cat said. Then suddenly they all seemed to speak in unison; "There will six with the powers of the elements, two with powers given by Starclan, that hold the power to challenge the cat that controls the shadows."
She awoke suddenly, startled by something nudging her pelt. "What is it?" She asked Ivoryears apprentice who had taken his place as medicine cat, "You had the same dream." Greenstar sighed and sat up, slightly agitated at remembering her dream. "What do they mean 'Cats with the power of the elements'? Our whole clan is full of cats with the power of the elements!" she hissed and looked over as the medicine cat spoke, "They will be no ordinary powers, they will be rank eight." Greenstars eyes showed a spark of surprise, hoping somehow cats with powers above the highest rank Paradiseclan has recorded would be enough to stop a cat who can control and become shadows.

Explanation of Powers
In theory every cat can have powers, even if their parents didn't, but one of their ancestors must have had powers. On average, if one parent had powers, one out of five kits inherit their powers. If both have powers, one out of three will inherit either power.
A cat can have only one, either fire, water, earth or air. Darkness, light and shadows are strictly for those cats within the prophecy.
A cats rank of power can range from one to seven, though six and seven are very rare and only happen when both parents had powers.

Fire
The cat can only control fire below rank four, above rank four they can create it within their paws and mouths and control the fire skillfully. Cats with the fire element usually take on a fiery or hot headed personality, though not always.

Water
The cat can loosely control water below rank three, above rank three they can easily control it and freeze it with their paws and mouths, still controlling the frozen water. Cats with the water element usually take on an icy or calm personality, though not always.

Earth
The cat can loosely control rocks or plants below rank three, above rank three they can manipulate plants and vines to turn the tide in battle and create sturdy nests. Cats with the earth element usually take on a leader or caring personality, though not always

Air
The cat can control the wind up to a steady breeze below rank four, above rank four they can create gusts of wind and down drafts to effect their prey in trees. Cats with the air element usually take on a free spirited or loner personality, though not always.

Prophecy only elements
Darkness, Light, and Shadows are prophecy only elements.

Darkness
This cats powers are derived from Starclan and are rather mysterious; The cat can effect the lack of light in an area to seemingly bend an object out of someones view. They are at home in the night, where they can reach out their senses through the darkness and see things others do not.

Light
This cats powers are derived from Starclan and are pretty straightforward; They can bend the light in an area the way a mirror would, sometimes blinding someone momentarily. They are at home when the sun is out and their powers are at their peak, easily effecting someones view on something, bending the light to make a cat see something that is not there.

Shadows
This cats powers are derived from the Dark Forest and are sinister in nature. They can effect the flow of shadows seamlessly, and when their powers are at their peak at night, they can bend the shadows to grab a cat, never to be seen again. They can also move within the shadows, almost acting as a shadow themselves, and are never seen until the last second.

This is a semi-lit RP and i expect good grammar and spelling, and posts with a couple sentences to it. Writers block is fine but not for every post. I also would prefer if you have a post style, not just some block of text. Being on a phone or mobile device is fine in a pinch, but not every post.

I'm not going to provide a form, as i enjoy seeing the different forms everyone comes up with. I ask you to include the basics, age, power, ect. But i would also enjoy if you included a piece about the cats assigned bird. See the Apprentice Ceremony before you do.

.:Activity:.
I would prefer you post at least once every three to four days, as i understand some people have a life outside the computer. If you're going to be gone for an extended period of time, please PM me or one of my Mini Mods so i don't delete your cats. After 5 days of inactivity i will send you a PM, and if you don't post in the next two days after that your cats will be deleted.
Bonus; Actually include your normal activity in your form. Not required.

.:Characters:.
There is no limit on characters, though the minimum is two so you can at least have someone else to RP while you're waiting for a reply. I don't want everyone to have 7 or 8 cats, but you could have a fair number if you're confident you can keep track of them. Please try to keep genders even. If everyone makes two females and one male, I'll end up not accepting that gender until there's more males.

.:God modding/Power playing:.
Obviously none of that. No Mary sues or Gary sues, every cat has a weakness or a flaw, no cat is perfect. This is especially true for powers! Just because a cat can control air doesn't mean they can completely avoid wounds.

.:Powers:.
The cats of Paradiseclan don't overuse their powers. Please keep this in mind. Most cats tend to only use them when they really need them, though there is no rule against actually overusing them in the clan itself. You can make a cat that likes to use their powers a lot, but don't make all your cats overuse them. And don't make every cat have powers.

.:Respect:.
Everyone deserves it, but please respect me and my mini mods. If i don't accept your cat for any reason, just respect my wishes and change it, don't throw a tantrum about it.

Paradiseclans territory spans a rain forest. The land is full of lush forests, hilly expanses, wide rivers and waterfalls. Their camp is centered in the middle of their territory, at the base of a small mountain. A river runs south of their camp, running from the south border to the east border. There's only a few places to cross, with each location have stepping stones. A waterfall is located near the north border, a poplar spot for some. The Mooncave is used to commune with Starclan, it is located on the east border just north of the river. There are several holes in the roof of the cave that let in moonlight, which shine onto a few different puddles. Whichever puddle is lit up with moonlight is the puddle the cats lap up to enter a dream with Starclan. Their camp is surrounded by lush underbrush, only accessible through a fallen tree hollowed out to the south of the camp. Earth cats have made extremely sturdy nests in the branches, with the leaders nest being at the lowest branch, which is where the leader also calls meetings. Not all nests are in the branches. The nursery, medicine cat den and elders dens are made from thick brush and twigs, around the outskirts of the camp. And the apprentices dens are located just underneath the tree.

The rainforest which Paradiseclan resides doesn't have normal seasons. They only have the wet season and the dry season. The wet season is very humid and hot and when it rains it often downpours. The dry season is cooler, less humid and far less rain.

This she-cat is the one gifted with Rank Eight water powers, though she tends to use ice more than anything. She is sarcastic and icy to most, though rarely to her group. Ever since she was an apprentice, she had never had anyone who broke through her sarcastic shell until she met the Air. As an apprentice, her powers didn't reach full potential until she turned 8 moons old and discovered her extraordinary abilities through training.
She is best friends with the Air.

The Fire ; _______ ; Tom ; reserved for honest leopard
This tom is the one gifted with Rank Eight fire powers, though he rarely ever uses them anymore. He is the one who's taken charge of his group, once they were all aware of the prophecy. His leader and hot headed personalitys make him hard to deal with, but loyal. His powers were first seen when he was made an apprentice, and accidentally burned his litter mate. He rarely uses his powers anymore.
He is best friends with the Nature and siblings with the Air.

The Nature ; Aurorafur ; She-cat ; Played by PocketToaster
This she-cat is the one gifted with Rank Eight earth powers, and uses them purely to care for nature and her camp. This she-cat is the one who cares for everyone, often acting as a motherly figure to the tight knit group. Her powers were seen early on, when she was around 4 moons old, and uses them to care for her camp as well as help nature in her territory.
She is best friends with the Fire and siblings with the Light.

The Air ; _______ ; Tom ; Open
This tom is the one gifted with Rank Eight air powers, and uses them often. This tom is the free-spirited cat of the group, he often goes off by himself in adventurous locations and knows his group can care for themselves. His powers weren't seen until he turned 9 moons old and when they did show up they were already rank eight. He often creates such intense winds around himself that he can practically fly for a short period of time.
He is best friends to the the Ice and siblings with the Fire.

The Light ; Lightpaw ; She-cat ; Played by Epic Little Kitty
This she-cat is the one gifted the Light power by Starclan. This she-cat is intelligent and happy, often chatting up a storm with her tight knit group. She sometimes can get annoying to others, though not to the Dark as they balance each other out. Her powers were discovered when she was 4 moons old and knew from early on that her powers weren't normal.
She is best friends with the Dark and siblings with the Nature.

The Dark ; Shadowpaw; Tom ; Played by p i k a.
This tom is the one gifted the Dark power by Starclan. This tom is cunning and prefers not to talk with others, though he cares deeply for his group. His nature makes others seem to feel uneasy, and he sometimes wishes he could talk as easily as the Light, even asking for tips from her to help him talk. His powers were discovered when he was 7 moons old.
He is best friends with the Light.

The one who control the shadows;

The Evil ; _______ ; Tom ; Open
This cat has been granted the power to manipulate and become shadows by the Dark Forest warriors. His lineage traces back to one of the founding cats of Paradiseclan, and he thinks he deserves to rule. He has started becoming familiar with his powers by sucking cats from Paradiseclan into the shadows, killing them almost instantly. This tom has four rouges who have Rank Six elemental powers who he lives with and often accompany him on attacks.

.:Apprentice Ceremony:.

The cats of Paradiseclan have an apprentice ceremony that integrates the many different Birds of Paradise that inhabit their territory. When an apprentice is named, the leader also assigns them a specific Bird of Paradise that fits their personality, and are sent out with their mentor and possibly other apprentices, if they too had just been made apprentices, to locate the birds feathers. Usually two or three of the most colorful feathers on the bird.

Apprentices are told to respect the Birds during this ceremony by not killing them, but if they go too long without finding the feathers, (Usually three to four days) they may hunt and kill their assigned bird.

Below is a list of the possible birds an apprentice may be assigned, and the personality traits that are used to assign said birds.

"Oh, so you're much too lazy to hang around me and get to know me, so you ask me to describe myself? Surely by now you can gather I'm icily sarcastic and cold.
By that, i'm sure you can gather what bird i was assigned."
Dawnfrost is easily described as sarcastic and cold, and due to this many cats leave it at that and don't bother to talk to her. Dawnfrost grew up with a mother that barely cared for her and a brother who constantly teased her; She learned to grow up with an icy sarcasm because that was the only way to get her brother off her back and to get any emotion from her mother, even if it was just a look of surprise. She easily grew into it, enjoying the looks of shock from her mentor and even deputy whom she sassed coldly. Nobody has ever taken an interest in Dawnfrost and through the years she's only gotten colder and colder, fearing if she strayed from this path everyone would tease her like her brother, or worse, ignore her like her mother. Before she adopted this attitude, Dawnfrost was an eager kit who loved to play and fantasize about life as a Warrior, defending her clan, but as she grew she left it behind. Dawnfrost still cares for her clan, otherwise she'd be no better than a rouge, and she enjoys getting out into the forest where she doesn't have to constantly defend herself with sarcasm.

"..." Her eyes flash with sadness only for a split second, "My history is none of your concern..."
Dawnfrost was the second in a litter of three, born to Icewish and Greyfoot. Her brother was Hareleap and her sister, Moonkit, died from sickness. Icewish had been an expecting mother, eager to tell her mate the news, but he soon rejected her after she told him, telling her he had chosen another mate. Icewish was devastated and began to loath her kits simply because they were Greyfoots offspring. Dawnfrost tried her best to please her mother before adopting an icy attitude, and Hareleap grew up harsh and non-caring of his mother. When Dawnfrost was made a Warrior, she made a point to never speak to her kin. Icewish died of Greencough and Hareleap grew ever harsher, soon abandoning the clan all together. Greyfoot was attacked by a loner, not fatally wounded, but the wounds got infected. As he lay in the medicine den dying, he confined in Dawnfrost that he always liked her, and apologizing for her mother and his behavior, though it was far too late for Dawnfrosts damaged personality.

"I guess you could say I'm mature and quiet. I don't tend to talk unless i'm needed, but i wont avoid conversation. I was assigned the Trumpet Manucode for my eloquent nature, though i don't think that was all that correct."
Blackstripe is an extremely loyal tom, as he often works day and night to make sure his clan-mates are well fed and healthy. Blackstripe has always been attached to his sister, Lunarpaw, even though their age differences are noticeable. After his incident with Lilac, it seemed to change Blackstripe to that of a more quiet and caring tom, instead of his young adventurous self. He's often heard saying that life is short and you need to enjoy it with those you love, because you never know when they might be gone. Blackstripe often fantasizes about meeting a she-cat as sweet as Lilac, but he never exactly holds out for it. His heart is open to love, even if no she-cat would happen upon the tom.

"Oh, let's see... Moonpool was my mother, she was a very pale ginger and white she-cat with blue eyes, and my father is unknown. My sister is Lunarpaw, Moonpools most recent litter, which she died giving birth to and only Lunarpaw survived. As for my personal history..."
Blackstripe lived a very adventurous apprenticeship, at the time the clan had been battling with rouges and he was always the first to try and jump into the battle, even though he was only 11 moons old at the time of the battles against them. When he became a warrior at 12 and a half moons, he was called to accompany the raid on the rouges, since they had just found their den. While the others were fighting to chase off the rouges, Blackstripe noticed a she-cat dart out from their make shift den and make a run for it. Well, Blackstripe was eager to prove himself and took after the she-cat, only to catch up to her within a few heartbeats. The she-cat was heavily pregnant and had slowed her pace considerably, begging Blackstripe to take mercy on her. As she stopped and collapsed, Blackstripe knew he wouldn't kill a defenseless queen, and asked her name. "Lilac..." the queen panted, and suddenly Blackstripe smelled blood. The queen was giving birth right then and there. Blackstripe tried his best to help the she-cat through her delivery, which went rather well. She had given birth to two black and white cats, one male and one female, and Blackstripe promised he would convince his leader to let her stay, and she raised her kits in the security of the clan. Blackstripe had fallen hard for her, and they became mates after her kits were made apprentices, but for the very short time of one moon before Lilac disappeared one night. Blackstripe was always convinced it was murder, or some cats evil plan to make her leave.
