Pike nodded and trotted out of the cave to a small creek and drank some of the icy water.

Hoot followed behind Pike with a smile and crouched down to get a drink. She felt the ice cold water go down her throat and into her belly with a pleased smile.

[Whitefang.]

Pike shivered as the icy water slipped down his throat. "So cold." he mumbled.

Hoot smiled and nodded in agreement with Pike "Feels good." she said and placed a paw in the icy water.

[Whitefang.]

"Heh." Pike looked awkwardly at his paws, watching the water stream by them.

"You don't like water?" Hoot asked Pike with a smile.

[Whitefang.]

Pike shrugged. "It's not my very favorite thing to fall into on a-" he broke off as his front paws slipped off of the rock he was standing on. "Ahh!" he yelped, sliding face-first into the shallow water. For a moment he floundered around but eventually found his footing. "Not my favorite thing to fall into on a colder day." he chuckled.

Hoot fell onto her back laughing as Pike fell into the water. After a moment she sat up with an amused smile "Yeah, I guess you're right. But, I don't mind it too much." She said dipping in a brown paw. "You know, for having a name like Pike, I thought you'd love the water." She told him with a small chuckle.

Pike laughed. "My mother always said that a cat once told her of these giant fish, strong enough to knock a cat down, that lived in some rivers. I guess that's why she called me Pike." he scuffed his paws around in the sand.

"Wow, that'd have to be a big fish then. I'm not really sure why I was called Hoot of Unsuspecting Owl. I never really knew my parents." Hoot said with a shrug then went quiet.
