[spoilers ahoy, but only passed upon: also, paragraphs because i really like classes and aspect discussion] @Jim Moriarty [a couple posts ago i think] ; though i agree different classes will have different abilities, i don't agree that stealing souls is not heart based [and i'm not sure that prince is a more powerful class, but that's more on a subject i havent looked into with much depth]. the aspect 'heart' would be, as explained by calliope, more easily related to 'soul'. a prince is a destroyer, and therefore dirk would be a destroyer of soul - so being able to rip souls out of bodies would make sense, right? it would make even more sense if he could literally destroy them, but we'll have to wait and see.
however, nepeta is a rogue, which means she benefits others by stealing her aspect - the said aspect in question being heart. now i'm not saying this means she could tear souls out of people [as such], because that's not really a passive thing for a passive class to be doing; but she could affect soul in some other way. i couldn't tell you how, because i'm not nearly as imaginative as hussie, but i'm sure it'd be something completely mental like with roxy and her ability to steal void.

spoilers;;Hm, that's a really good theory. I haven't thought of that. I think Heart, however, is more of an emotion thing, rather than a soul. It honestly depends on how you perceive a soul, as you can consider it a person in itself, or their emotions.

@jim ; that's a good point. soul could be seen in a number of ways, and considering it seems to be the counterpart to mind it would really make sense it's anything that isn't covered by the whole 'choices and their repercussions etc.' thing. personally, i've always seen soul as the consciousness of being - the morals, emotions, personality in general - which is also often represented as a ghost-looking entity, much like the one areana has been losing over he last few recent panels. that's one thing i find so cool about heart: it could lead to a number of different really cool, pretty personal powers uvu
