Ten chuckled lightly as the snow slipped down his fur, and he lifted his paw to shield his face from any more possible attacks from the horrid-white-stuff... "Really?" He asked, delaying his reply a little as he strived to see if the female ticked any boxes in his memory. 'She's too young to have ever been in the Ice Pack and Rebels- So Shadey must've seen her on her travels...' He thought, daring not to ask her... She was obviously shaken by her experience in the limbo between the packs, but that didn't silence his relentless curiosity.

Scout's expression grew. "Oh that's wonderful!" She barked, wagging her tail. She even let her tongue slip from her muzzle as she padded the floor beneath her excitably. "Congratulations- Beta Casper." Finally... The pack has got some new authority. Dante could go off and do his own thing while the pack could be monitored by the Beta. She knew Casper could be... iffy. But she hadn't ever seen him under alot of pressure. Surely he would be good... Otherwise Dante wouldn't have appointed him.She thought. But every wolf has a weakness... We'll see how this young male deals with the pressure. "I'm sure you'll have an amazing time-- eating all our finest food?" She said, calming herself to a more mature, controlled manner- yet spiking a teasing smirk to Cas.

Casper grinned wolfishly at her, tail wagging ever so slightly in his own excitement, breaking through his usually cold exterior to show his inner pup. Something brought out usually only when play fighting, so was fairly rare to see. Proof that he wasn't just black and white, that there were layers to him that few knew about. "Aww c'mon Scout, I may have been promoted, but my pack has always come first." Smirking back, he nudged her shoulder with his muzzle then took a glance over at the way back to camp. "You coming? I think we should be heading back... It'll be a cold night, and though I am well suited for it, your old bones may not be." Casting her yet another smirk, making sure she knew he was only teasing, he wagged his tail once more and started to pad away, a bit of a spring in his step.

Scout docked her eyebrows at the younger male. "Uhm- Excuse me boy... These 'old bones' have been tugging at the throats of Bears before you were even a twinkle in your daddy's winkle..." She stepped forward, past his flank, before brushing her tail across her beta's face. She didn't like being sidelined because of her age... She may had be getting the first few grey hairs on her muzzle, but she wasn't about to curl up in her den just yet... She threw a playful glance at him, before pouncing suddenly into the bushes. She bounded away, slinking between the tree's until she stepped onto the path that led back to camp- hoping Casper was in toe.

Casper nudged her tail with his snout as she brushed it against his face, not minding the playful talk between them. It was all fun and games for now, he really had missed this. It had been an awfully long time since he had does anything like this. Not expecting her to bound away, he gave chase, quite easily catching up as his stride was longer, however she was more agile. His larger body found it a little more difficult, but he kept up, always on her toes, not wanting to overtake for now. Not necessary. This wasn't a race as far as he knew. It was just for fun, and fun it was. He liked being able to stretch his legs like this without worrying about actually pursuing something.

Scout chuckled as Cas flanked her. "It appears I have underestimated you..." She playfully growled, before gently barging into him, timing her strides carefully to keep her perfect balance. She made sure it was only light enough to stumble him from his pace, and not to knock him to the floor. She laughed out again, a loud, mature giggle. It was almost what you would imagine a matriarch to laugh like... Obviously time had ensured that her voice had matured along with her looks...

Dante smiled at Boo, flicking his ear to her words and drawing his tail in closer around her. "Perhaps Fenrir chose you so I wouldnt be lonely?" he said, his voice tinted with hope. "At least I hope that is why," he chuckled, his voice deep, but content. "I'm meant to be a big tough alpha Boo," he started, raising his head to look her deep in the eyes. "But something about you makes me feel soft and gentle," he admitted, flicking his ears back in embarrassment, his eyes watching her's, awaiting her reaction.
