Soft light brushed against Issachar's eyelids, as the dawn penetrated the dark night sky and brought light to the lands. The tall brute's amber eyes opened, and he allowed himself a minute to fully awaken. Once energized, he stood up, stretching out his hind legs from the stiffness of the night and shaking out his muscles. First one up? No, his alpha was already awake. He could smell Riddle's scent on the faint wind. Stepping outside of the den, he let his gaze brush across the territory. It was mostly tundra, but there was a pine forest too and it was quite large. If the wind was strong, one could smell the soft scent of pine. It was relaxing. Ria liked to chew on the pine needles sometimes. The thought of his sister made him leave the den fully and go out into the territory. She would wake soon, and with all the other wolves not being all that friendly, he was the sole target of her...outgoing personality.

Issachar padded through the camp until his found Riddle. He bowed lightly to the alpha and sat a little way away, watching the sun break through the night's veil. Fine morning. He said softly to the alpha, but didn't say anything else. He rarely spoke, and didn't like to bother the authorities.

I yawn slightly, my large teeth showing slightly. Then as I look around the pack, I see a fine movement from below. Another awake, at least im not on my own I think to myself, smiling slightly. The wolf comes into view, its one of my fine fighters, Issachar. I smile slightly at him, bowing my head back to him as he did to me. My ears twitch slightly as he speaks, and I nod in agreement. very fine I add to his comment. Then I look down at him, So Issachar, did you sleep well? I ask the fighter. I had to admit, he was one of the hardest wolves to talk to, but he is a fine fighter I must say. I look over the horizon, the sun braking into full warmth, spreading its orange glow over the territory.

The large brute nodded again, sealing the deal that yes, indeed, the morning was a wonderful one. He then returned his gaze to the alpha. Had he slept well? Well... Somewhat. It is not an easy night when Ria is dreaming. It's tough enough when she is awake. He said in a weary tone. His sister could be very overwhelming at times. However, she made up for it by totally pampering her dearest brother with all the food he could eat. She was a brilliant hunter and made sure her play-toy never went hungry. And you, alpha?

I nod slightly, I could somewhat understand Issachar, with his siblings dreams. Sometimes she howled, and I could hear it from my den. But Ria was a good pack member and she was a excellent hunter, what more could you ask. I laugh slightly to myself, then straighten up. My ears twitch again as Issachar spoke, and I look down at him as I replied. I guess it was alright, I have slept better, I reply truthfully. My sleep wasn't as good as I have, t is possibly because of the colder breezes. I shrug slightly and sigh. I look around the pack, scanning for any more movement, yet no one was ready to pull from their warm dens right now.

Brown eyes blinked back he light. A stray ray of sunlight hit the territory and the morning began in all it's glory. He almost missed the alpha's comment. Not a bad sleep, but not all that great. Fair enough. Yes, indeed it is warmer in the day but it is getting much colder when the sun hides its face. Soon it will be much warmer, however, as the cold turns into spring. Issachar thought in an almost wistful way. He never liked the cold. Ria loved it, and she would mope around in the summer, depressed from the heat. Ah yes, how Issac enjoyed the warmth and the peace of spring. Valdus pack, however, would start thriving too. Have you heard lately of the Valdus pack? I have not sighted them for a while.

Alou sat staring at the sunrise, her body relaxed as she watched the suns light tendrils stretch across the sky, bringing light to the land. Once upon a time, Alou was able to sleep in, but nightmares had began to plague her nights, causing sleep to be a mere dream, no pun intended. With a sigh, she decided it should be about time she got back to camp. After all, the huntress didn't want to worry her pack. They had bigger things to worry about than a mere huntress having issues sleeping. Reaching down to her paws, she scooped up a hare she had caught that morning while the light was still gone. Hunting had always relaxed the fae, so it was no surprise that it was her turn to method for solving her sleeplessness. Sometimes, she was able to back to her den before the sun rose, letting her sleep a little bit. However, most of the time, she just made sure to get back to camp for her duties once the light had touched their land. She knew how dangerous it was, for her to still be gallivanting out in the darkness, what with the Valdus pack being so close by. However, she also knew how great a nice fresh meal was, and it sure beat staring at the ceiling of her stuffy den when she could not sleep. Turning towards the camp, she began to lope back towards it, the hare swinging with her pace. When she finally made it back to the place where her fellow pack mates lived, she slowed down to a steady trot, eats forward as she strained to hear the voices floating on the wind towards her. After a few seconds, she managed to recognize them. It was the warrior, Issachar, and the alpha himself, Riddle. For a moment, she debated on staying away, not waking them. However, she did want to make sure they knew that there was food available, so she walked down, smiling to them as she arrived. "Good morning!" She said to them happily between the rabbit that was in her teeth. Setting the hare down, she stepped back a little to sit, running her tongue over her pelt to make herself look presentable. After a few moments however, she determined that taming her beautiful snow white coat was just not worth the trouble, shaking it briefly to let it lay back it's natural way. Looking up at the two males, she bowed her head a little, as if hiding. "Sorry if I interrupted anything..."

I nod at the fighter below me, it was a smart one. He is going to grow up wise I think to myself with a smile. Then I hear him speak, a shake my head. not recently, but I know we better be careful since the prey are coming back, and Valdus pack what the best prey in the land. I say complimenting our prey at the same time. I smile, good one riddle. I chuckle slightly, looking around. Well, I better wake up the other lazy bones I say getting up and stretching out my muscles. I walk down the rocks and jump off the smaller ledge, walking over to Issachar with a smile.
Then I hear another voice, and look up to see it was one of my huntress' Aloutana. I bow my head slightly to the fae, good morning Aloutana. I say to her.

I yawn as a small strip of sunlight almost blinded my eyes. I blink fast, trying to get my eyes to adjust to the sunlight that peeked into the den. I get myself up, and shake off the moss they was beneath me. Unlike other wolves, I slept on moss. Sometimes its good, sometimes bad. Good because it keeps me warmer, and bad because it gets damp over time and goes soggy. The pups that I cared for sleep on it as well, but now their are no pups, but there will be heaps come late spring and summer. Nearly all females will be mating this season. Sometimes I wish I could have pups on my own, but I have many pups when the season comes. The mothers trust me to look after them when they are not around or have other duties.

Alou gave a soft smile to the alpha as he addressed her. "Thank you sir." Standing up, she took a hesitant step forward. "Do you need any help getting the rest of the pack up? I am not sure if they would listen to me, but I could try..." the fae said, her ears flickering with obvious uncertainty. For a second, she held her breath, in fear that she had overstepped her bounds, before suddenly her ears twitched and she looked up sharply. "Also, don't call me Aloutana. Just Alou. I don't go by my birth given name anymore." Not since that name had betrayed her many times. Not since that name was oh so close to her sisters. Of course, she was unaware that her twin also when by a shortened Aleu, which matched her sister's nickname to a tee. Irony worked in strange ways. "I haven't gone by that name since I left my sister. I hate it." Her tone was uncharacteristic for the normal gentle fae, but the hurt in her eyes showed that her real name was like a dagger driven in her heart.

I look at her and listen to her speak, I wanted to grow but I didn't. I held it back. Alright then, Alou I say while I look around the dens. Make sure you are loud, and sound angry, I wanna give 'em all a fright I say with a chuckle. giving the rest of the pack a fright would be funny, since I haven't givin then a good scare for a long time. the last time I did was the start of Autumn, now that was a great scare in the morning. I remember it, crystal clear. we didn't have food, so I woke 'em all up at the crack of dawn. in the end no one needed to get food that early. Some may say im cruel, but im just like that.

"-And so that was how I had killed the powerful Lordek." Ignacy finished the story he had been telling to Wit. Wit merely nodded. For half the night Ignacy has been talking to him about random things. Of course Wit had wanted to get more sleep but you never say that to Ignacy. Never say what he doesn't want to hear. Wit figured Ignacy must be energetic now that winter was coming to an end and due to the females in heat. Wit was pretty energetic too. Just not energetic enough to desire to talk to someone until the sun rises. When the sun went up and into the sky, Ignacy gave a bitter frown. Wit tipped his curiously and decided to be brave.

"What's wrong sir?" Wit asked carefully. Ignacy snarled a little but did not lash out at Wit. He merely started to pace.

"Spring is almost here and this is the time where the least violence happens among the two packs. Its because plenty of food is around and every dumb wolf is filled with the pursuit of love...but I don't think I'm going to let that happen this year." Ignacy responded in a cold voice. Wit merely nodded and he gulped when Ignacy focus his yellow eyes onto him, looking very thoughtful. Ignacy walked over to Wit and snarled. Wit immediately looked down and tucked his ears and tail into a submissive pose.

"Wit, can I trust you? Should I trust you?" Ignacy asked. The questions took Wit by surprise but he immediately nodded. Ignacy snorted, then turned and walked off.

"Go check around camp then and see if there's anything you can do. I must speak to Aleutian" Ignacy called from over his shoulder and left. Wit sighed in relief. He was very fond of the alpha...but he was so exhausting at times. Wit really did enjoy his Alpha's serious yet childish nature. He just wished that Ignacy was nicer. His roots would never change though. Wit hated to admit that, but he knew that Ignacy would never change. The wolf was already set in his destiny. Also, no matter how terrible Ignacy was, Wit would always be loyal to him. He had meant that nod.

Wit then got up and started wandering around the camp, looking for anything to do. If not, he might just wake up someone or go for a pleasant hunt. The black wolf was fine with anything to be honest.

Something's going to give again

Ignacy was in a grumpy mood now. He walked with full authority, obviously he thought he owned the place. Well...he did. He had felt like giving Wit a beating back then, but decided not to since the wolf had listened to him the whole night. Ignacy did feel like beating someone up though. Maybe later. For right now he needed to see Aleutian, his beta. He frowned at the thought of her. She was a very sly wolf. One needed to be careful when they engage her. To be honest he didn't trust his beta that much, which is why he wished he had a Delta right now. But no wolf has so far stepped up onto the task. He knew that Wit was eager to become the Delta, but that young wolf has only been with the pack for a small amount of time, a month to be exact. And he had other ideas on how to use Wit. Sooner or later he would deal with that situation.

Ignacy also decided it was probably time to get a mate soon. Pups were vital for survival. He got angry at this thought. It brought up the memory of his old mate, Lena. A small brown wolf with pretty yellow eyes. She had died last year during a fight with the Takeshi pack. It ticked him off cause at that time she had also been carrying his pups. It was such a waste. At least she died fighting though. Oh he vowed to ruin the Takeshi pack. Bunch of scum. Ignacy then arrived to his destination, Aleutian's den. He ducked his head into the entrance.

"Wake up!" he snarled loud and clear.

Waldeburg

It's just that this, this is not the way I'm wired

Waldeburg slowly got out of her den, looking back and forth for an enemy. Someone who wanted to snapp her little neck. Once again she had not been able to sleep. Oh sleep never came to her these days. The fragile white wolf was pretty messed up these days. She was always expecting death to come to her, for her packmates to suddenly turn on her and kill her. She was weak and dumb. Life itself probably wanted to erase this meaningless creature. These were her thoughts anyways. Due to an incident, Waldeburg had lost much. Before that incident, she had been a brave and eager wolf. She had been happy. Now she was miserable and full of paranoia and fear. She believed that she was worthless now and was waiting for death to find her.

The white wolf scanned her surroundings carefully. She was wondering what she should do. Hunting probably. The question was if she should go now or wait for a bit...or maybe even eat? Waldebrug swallowed at the last thought. These days this young wolf never ate and she was getting quite skinny now. She was terrified that the others would be mad at her for eating, so when she was desperate for food, she often went out at night to hunt. But it has been longer then usual, and someone had recently brought a rabbit back, and it was now just buried where the spare food was. Burying food caused it to not spoil as quick or get eaten by crows and such. So most of their food was buried. Then again...Waldeburg didn't want to be in came either. She was in heat and hated this time of year. It made her very aware of the other males and that honestly scared her. Waldeburg merely sat in front of her den as she puzzled through her thoughts on what to do.

Marlis

Marlis was having a blast as usual. She was rolling around and jumping about. Oh how she loved this weather. It was amazing! The young wolf had recently caught a rabbit too, and it laid near a stump, all nice and plump. Prey was coming back too which was good. Marlis was a loner after all. It's a tough life. Also being the social girl she is, she was quite near the camp of a pack known as the Takeshi pack. She's been roaming around their territory for about a month or two now. Successfully avoiding the wolves who owned these lands. But each week she found herself getting a little closer to them. Especially now that she was in heat. It's the first time she's been in heat and she doesn't really understand all these emotions and desires to be with others. She wanted to be with others desperately right because of this. Ah but it was also risky to be this close too. Others might not be happy to find a loner roaming near their home. But she was willing to take that risk.

With a happy yelp, she grabbed her rabbit and flung it into the air. It landed with a plop a couple feet away. Marlis then trotted over to it and started rolling around it and soon enough, began to eat her tasty catch. This wolf didn't have a care in the world.
