Jessica glanced behind her to see Liam. She found herself becoming a coward... he was never supposed to find her! He wasn't supposed to know. Now she was nervous what he would do once he reached her. He could be mad, or upset, or really anything... it was a risky business. She pushed herself to go a bit harder. It wasn't very effective, though, seeing as she just lost speed after a bit. It didn't take too long-she'd only gone a small sprint before stopping and giving in. She turned around and looked pathetically at Liam, a sorry look dragging down her face.

Liam ran faster calling out "Jess!"

Jessica waited where she was, having already stopped. As he came closer she closed her eyes. "I'm sorry!" she cried out, hoping he wouldn't be upset with her.

Liam finally caught up to Jess. He was out of breath. It took him a moment to catch his breath before saying with a sigh "Jess, why did you sneak out and why did you run away??"

Jessica swallowed hard, biting down on her lip gently. "I snuck out because I want to find my dad... I ran off because I was being a coward and I didn't want you to get mad at me." she replied quietly. Her eyes adverted to the ground, looking down at her feet that tapped at the ground nervously.

Liam frowned "I'm not mad, I'm worried. You could of gotten hurt out here by the way you talked about your dad and all."

Jessica looked up at him, thankful for his reaction. "I-I'm tough enough to handle him.. don't worry about that. But... let's just go back to the hotel room," she said quietly, "I'll find time for this later." she hesitantly walked up to him.

Liam frowned and asked her "please don't go after him you'll get hurt and I don't want to loose you."

"Let's just go." Jessica said quietly, kicking rocks as she headed back towards the hotel. She wouldn't promise anything. He didn't understand. If his father had left after sixteen years, maybe he would get the desire she had to find him. She wanted to know what was wrong and see if she could mend things with at least her father. Family used to be important to her, but now it was crumbling.

Liam gave her a weak smile.
