How do you decide on a name for a Mako?
Adrian's name came from nothing but a love for pure irony.
His full name is "Adriatic", after the sea, and since he can't swim...
I love you, irony. :'D

For the stardust Mako that I'm trying for, I named her Mariana, simply because it's backwards.
She's based on what's far above us, she's named after what's far below us, the Mariana Trench. <3

By the way, would anyone be willing to do some Mako form critique for me? ;u;

How do you decide on a name for a Mako?

Blitzkrieg is german for lightning war; I named Blitz that because of the story I've been
mulling over for him. I'll explain better at some point, but, herp derp. The white contrast
of his markings over the black also kind of made me think of lightning against a dark sky
for some reason, though I know it doesn't resemble it at all. xD

Kyrillion is Kyrillion for no apparent reason. It's a name I've had for a while, and didn't know
what to do with. To me, it sounds very regal and rich-sounding (kyrillion-a-million) and it suits
the idea I have in my head of him being a fancy and distinguished, albeit shy and reclusive gentleman. C:

Makoatls are ALLOWED to crush and love someone or multiple of other species. However, the species (if it's an owned species) must allow it as well, you still have to follow their rules. Now, that being said, Makoatls cannot breed with another species.

I have a question! Okay, well I won a makoatl; it was a gif contest. I really don't like the name and gender I picked for the mako and haven't used him in anything. Can I change his name and gender?

Are your makos inspired by anything/one?
The appearance of my RU of course was created by Hannibal, but I did suggest that she include cool colors and try to incorporate a theme of rain ouo/ I honestly think she captured that perfectly, so I guess you could say he's based on a rainy day <33 Personality wise, Moshe is fascinated with the world around him and is pretty upbeat. I developed his persona based on the vibrant colors that adorn his pelt and bright hues always cheer me up! When I first saw him he reminded me of the luminescent creatures at the bottom of the ocean as well as the way water seems to glow when the light of the moon reflects on its surface. His name was a direct result of this feeling I got c:

How do you decide on a name for a Mako?
When I name any character, I try to pinpoint one aspect I adore the most about them. The names I select are always meaningful; whether they give me a certain feeling or have hidden contextual meaning. Moshe is a Hebrew name meaning 'drawn out of the water.' My sister actually pointed this name out to me, and I loved the idea of it since Makos are ethereal beings near always submerged within the waves. It made me picture these creatures literally being pulled and created from the water of the sea. As if their inner make-up was also created from liquid. I thought this would suite this guy perfectly considering his love for natural beauty v///v
