are we allowed to ask question on games? cuz on SoulSilver I cant defeat Lance the dude is IMPOSSIBLE and on Pearl I cant get into Sunyshore City any suggestions?

You can go here and ask things on Heartgold and Soulsilver. But really, the trick is to have the right types (Dragon, Ice, and Water for Charizard, mainly) and have high leveled pokemon.

thanks basically the only really powerful pokemon i have is feralighter lugia (i hate to say) is pretty much useless but ill figure something out

I would say Gyarados are actually quite good when you need a good pokemon, because it evolves at lv 20 and you can just give it an Exp. Share or whatever. If you've gotten your Dratini (you can receive one in the game), you can train it and it'll be useful, too.

hyper beam's actually a pretty lousy move :-/ The only pokemon I'd recommend if for off the top of my head would be Porygon/2/Z since it gets the STAB.

(anyone feel like a PBR battle? I'm itching to play xD)

hyper beam works if your pokemon is on lvl 100 though xDD

Pretty much anything will OHKO an AI's pokemon if yours is at 100 just because of the level difference.
You could replace it with most anything, and you wouldn't even have to sacrifice the turn.

When playing at an equal level though, it's usually not worth the skipped turn. ^_^" You could probably do more damage using a less powerful move twice than using hyper beam the once--Especially since normal isn't super effective against anything.

(please forgive my nerdy-ness x_x I'm a bit on the competitive side with pokemon lol)

I've just realized that I also have a pokemon game on my GameCube. It's Pokemon Colosseum. It's kinda different though, ya know? I wish I could be the girl on there. xDD

Lol you wouldn't believe how much genetical engineering it took to get that...
Btw, why do so many people use lugia? I hate when i see people using legendaries, they're basically cheating, ruins the game if you ask me
