What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

+I'd call this beauty of a Mutato Page, a simple but, as I explain below, what I believe to be a very fitting name
++I think Page would suit this Mutato because it shows her modest personality, thinking of herself as no more than a lowly page-boy or 1 page in the huge novel of the world.
It also shows her creativity as she loves drawing, writing and music all of which can be recorded on a page with the right patience and care.

++Extra: Why I chose this quote
I chose this quote because this is how Page often feels. People see her outward beauty and woo her and give her complements but no one takes the time to actually realise it is not the beauty of Page that you should love her for, it is the words printed on the page like her gentleness, her modesty and her loving heart you should judge her on.
I could have chosen a more popular quote, like "Never judge a book by it's cover" but I think that this quote doesn't try to portray a message so the message portrayed is even more real and powerful.

Reason for choosing the name;;
There's not much of a reason why I chose this name. Lyric means lyre and for some reason, I associate this Mutato with music. The top looks like the think on stereos which shows the bass etc., and the bottom part reminds me of those random patterns the windows media player creates when you listen to music. Yes, it's a stupid reason, but I honestly just love the name.

++ the art here reminded me greatly of the two meanings of the word tattoo. The upper half makes me think of those radios everyone used to have, and you could watch as the beats would make it go up the scale of color and form these rainbow patters. The lower half looks like an ornate linework one might see on someone’s back, or perhaps henna

The minute I saw the tail design for this Mutato, I was reminded of a character from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She has two names - DJ Pon-3 and Vinyl Scratch. She is an EXTREMELY pale yellow (nearly appears white) unicorn disk-jokey/DJ. She has magenta eyes and purple sunglasses. This Mutato's name is a combination of her two names.
