Lexi sighed. "I know..." She said quietly with a frown. "I just don't want him hurting you, too..." She sighed. "I'd much rather take it myself than have him after you, even if it means I get killed."

"well I'm not going to let you do that..." I said and snapped my head up

"Jake I'm not letting you, or anyone else, get involved." She said, dtermined not to let him get involved in this.

"okay fine but as long as you promise me something" I said

Lexi nodded. "Alright, anything. What is it?"

"you have to be honest with me...and instead of cutting yourself up call me or one of your friends..talking is better than getting an infection" I said and looked at her

Lexi sighed, and nodded. "Alright, fine. If It'll keep you out of it then I promise I won't do it again." She nodded.

"okay thank you" I said and sighed. "that's all I wanted"

Lexi nodded, though she was unsure whether or not she would be able to keep her promise... She would try to at least, and if she ended up breaking it she'd hide it from him. "Well... WHat now...?"

"depends on if you want to walk away or I could take you home as a friend" I said and worked my way to my feet
