Sev shrugged slightly. "I don't like being optimistic about something where I can oh so easily dislocate my spine and be unable to do much for the rest of my life." he replied dryly. "Kinda hard to be optimistic about something like that."
"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more:
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
"Life is as tedious as a twice-told tale,
Vexing the dull ear of a drowsy man."
"And this our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks,
Sermons in stones, and good in everything."

Sev rolled his eyes. "Being critical and cautious of something always seems to mean giving up, because anything but charging in headfirst with a foolish and idiotic grin on your face is seen as giving up." he retorted.

Sev raised an eyebrow slightly. "So then tell me about the upsides of it." he replied.

〜 Shiya〜
Shiya blinked, surprised. "Isn't just being able to turn into another animal enough of an upside? To be able to run and feel the wind in your fur, or fly and feel the absolute thrill of it? Learning how another being sees the world while still remaining yourself? It's all amazing, Sev. You just have to work for it. If you want it." She looked down, closing her eyes. "At least you won't have to have your entire world flipped and darkened in order to change into an animal."

Sev sighed faintly and wrapped Shiva in a very tight hug. "Don't worry, you won't have to go through anything like that ever again."

Sev nodded. "I promise, dear."
