As the tall female strode along the street with a certain confidence not everyone had her phone beeped. She fumbled in her soccer decorated bag for that pesky device and read the text as she walked. She paused for a second to shoot back a reply. 'How about the beach' She'd been planning on going there anyway, it would be exciting to go with Keaton instead. She grinned to herself as she continued down the street. The houses surrounding her weren't flash, she guessed you could almost call it the bad side if town compared to other areas but the rundown old house they lived in was the best they could afford. Her parents weren't rich though they weren't poor. Thank the heavens for that.

She set her course for the legendary Starbucks. Boy was she hungry, and thirsty too. Luckily it was only a five minutes walk away. She suddenly wished that she hadn't left without eating because now her stomach was churning. She hurriedly carried on, pretemding the growling wasn't there. She was so stupid sometimes.

Quentin yawned and woke up, running a hand through his messy, dark hair. Blinking widely and slowly, Quentin got to his feet and rolled out of his bed. He was careful to not disrupt his still-sleeping German shepherd, Shenandoah. He smiled to himself when he saw the gentle rise and fall of Shena's sides as she huffed in her sleep. As he rummaged around his drawers for something to wear, Shenandoah's ears twitched as she dreamed. Quentin was about to step out of his room and into the bathroom to shower when his phone started vibrating on the nightstand. Picking up, Quentin spoke into the smartphone. His voice was still full of sleep, so his mixed British and Australian accent was kind of thick.
"Hello Sofie," Quentin murmured into the phone, still blinking sleep from his eyes. Grinning despite his drowsiness, Quentin spoke in a low voice to not wake his dog, still slumbering peacefully on his bed. "And no, this isn't Quentin. Because another person would definitely pick up when it's my cell phone."
Mussing up his hair again, Quentin strode out of his room and into the bathroom, dragging his clothes along with him. "I'm about to shower, love, so talk fast." There was a teasing tone to his voice, as he was just joking. He would hold off the entire world to just talk to his best friend.

Sofie started, feeling a bit bad that she had interrupted her friends not-so-sacred ritual of showering. "A-Ah, sorry. Just- agh, mother is bugging me to socialize again." she explained with a small sigh, "Well... uh, I kinda want to drive a loophole straight through what she said. She just said 'with people'... not who. S-So, wanna hang out later?" Sofie teased back, a light smile playing on her lips. Her free hand unconsciously went to rub her cat, who had since finished eating the food laid out for her. Noisy purring to Sofie could be heard quietly through to the other line. "A-ah, sorry. Cat being all... noisy." she quickly apologized, carefully removing her hand from her kitten... much to it's dismay. If anything, it just made the cat meow louder.
