I feel that there should be some of the super loved donations that are saved for next round...
Positives-
People will feel a little less stressed over which to go for
Probability that the pets will go to good homes will be up
It will give folks the change to go for all of their favorites [or more of them]
Negatives-
There will be more focused competition on the few favorites that are up
Folks may complain that their favorite was saved for the next round
It could cause serious back up in the donations... which may lead TAN to be more selective on what designs are put in
<- that last point could help TAN in the long run by eliminating designs that don't seem to have much going on... it will also help reduce the number of submissions each person enters...
I dunno... just a suggestion xD
there are many issues with it, just wondering what you all think

It would rip off the people who are already working feverishly on that donation that caught their eye. So spreading it out would cheat people already working hard and make them play a guessing game of "when do I get to put up my form?" So I don't really like that idea. Plus we would get a flood of "WHY WASN'T -DONATION- PUT UP I WAS GOING TO APPLY!" and it would just mean more copy and pasting a default "wait until next week" message.
tl;dr: Too much backlash, not enough rewards.
And I'm debating applying for a donation this round. Which one? IT'S A SEEECRET.

That does make a lot of sense. I know I'd be heartbroken if the donation I wanted to go for wasn't put up this round. I have trouble waiting for the Code Drop as it is! xD
Uh-oh... Hope we aren't going for the same one, that'd mean I'd need to make a killer form. oO

With holding back a couple particularly popular donations for the next round, there would also be the problem of the popular donations backing up, since people would still be donating for the next round as well and there would probably be a few really popular new ones, resulting in an even larger number of high-interest donations in the next rounds. ;3 On the one hand, trying to spread them out would let people have a chance to apply for more of the designs they really like, but on the other hand, as it is now if there are three or four designs in a round that a person really likes, they have to choose which two of those they really love, which reduces the risk of people applying for characters 'just because' and then giving them back later because they find they don't actually connect with it beyond it being pretty. Also, if there are many popular designs in one round, it's easier for people who have difficulty competing against the top form writers to win a character because the competition is more spread out instead of focused on one or two designs. :3 I've considered holding back donations a few times when there were high loads of popular donations for individual rounds, but for these reasons and the ones Wendigo gave, I always decided against it. Thanks for the suggestion though - we do always like to hear people's ideas on how TaN might be improved and see if we can use them. ^^

Fair enough :3
There are always issues with every idea, and we don't always see them right away.
I still really want to compile the winning forms into another thread for people to easily find them ><
But i feel like it would be unnecessary given that the "search" function can be used.
However, maybe in the adopted pets thread, the winning form can be linked next to the pet's name...
just in case someone feels the need to get a feel for what it takes to win a Smili or what not....
:\
I dunno
im in a creative mood today

If a TAN forum is made, someone can go back and gather the links to winning forms and compile them into a thread on there, LBA. c:
As for what it takes.... It's easy to go back and look at what it took last round to get one, and it's always possible to ask for help from the last one or two winners.
