Fire's head shot up. He could hear his alpha's voice responding to the other alpha's, though he could not hear Storm. Panicked, Fire broke awake from his sister, who barked after him, and he bolted to where he knew Dumah had taken Slater in his company. He smelled James, and nudged the back of his leg with his nose, and then lifted himself onto his hind legs so his head rested on top of the logs. Slater, Shadow has demanded that you return Dumah home. He wants you to meet a woman at the Shalbriri border, named Shadow Demon. he thought to both him and James, burgundy tipped ears tilting between Slater and James.

Shade snarled, No. Slater is Dumah's family. She invited him into the pack. He owes her a debt. He will return her home. he responded sharply to Storm's thoughts. He slowed at the dens, where he noticed Dusk lay alone in her den. His silver gaze shifted around them for a moment, before he turned and rested himself in his den, hiding his nose under his paws in distress.

Pyro had been sitting quietly at the dining table, staring down at his empty dish, seemingly tuning everything out. His gaze lifted sharply when he heard the bark, his hand slipping down to his knife belt, until he recognized the wolf. "Oh. It's you. What do you want?" he asked as he rose from the table, dropping his hand from his belt. He walked toward her, but he didn't draw any of his weapons. If she was going to lead him somewhere, so be it.

"And what could you do? No offence but your to different. They would put you as a witch to" He said with a sigh "You cant speak correctly, you act like a wolf. and well, your not normal anymore. Unlike you, I know how to act civilized." Going to his horse he tacked him up. "Plus. I work alone. And" He said with a sigh. " I dont want to be part of any pack. I only need Dumah. and you dont know how to deal with Vortigen, I do" Finishing tacking Spitfire, he mounted up onto him and faced James. Listening to the wolf, he nodded. "Of course. I will go now. I will return with her Fire" He said softly. nudging his horse forward, he had him jump over the logs and head off into the forest without a further word.

James grits his teeth as his figurative heart is torn out. "Why?" he whispers. "Think she wants all Man when Wolf is what she knows?" On an offshoot he glances at Fire, and switches to Lupine; "Will you come with me...to rescue her? " he is begging for a yes.

*Do you really think that Dumah will want a human who wont understand her around, one she barely knows to save her? No. You had better at least go.* Thinks Storm in reply, blocking off all emotion in his mind, so it can't leak out to taint the things he wants the other to know. *And, James will go if he wants. He is as much of a stubborn wolf as You.* then he shuts out his mind from giving and recieving for awhile.

The sparrow-form of the earth-intoxicated wolf watches the earth. She has found Dumah, being a kill across the whithers of a white and gray horse. Seige's Remorce makes a sound like a snarl to herself, but whatever can hear will not think of it as that dangerious sound the Wolf makes - rather as an odd song, and she follows.

Tempest all but dances in place that he sees her and isnt freaking out. Again she barks at Pyro, turns and darts a few yards away. No-one unclaimed by a pack could touch her pelt and live, she returns to a few inches away and circles. Come on! Hurry! The motions say and she races between the shadows of the houses and the person she is trying to make understand her. If only she had her brother's gift, or knew how to speak Human. That decides it, she would learn more human things. The white wolf bounces and barks softly at him.

Fire looked a tad shocked that James had asked him to accompany him to save Dumah. "I shouldn't..." he said quietly, his blind gaze dropping briefly to the ground, before he raised his voice a bit louder, saying, "Yes. But I shouldn't enter the village with you. I will wait in the shadows." he concluded, turning, and making a motion for the Taken Child to lead so that he could follow him.

Shadow growled to himself. "She is teaching him our ways... Fire will go. I assume he already has, as he isn't here." he spoke out loud, knowing that Storm would hear it anyway. Shade snorted into the dirt of his den, closing his bright silver eyes in an attempt to block out the sunlight.

Pyro made a distasteful sound in the back of his throat, and picked up a swift jog after the she-wolf, furrowing his brow as she led him into the forest. He did not halt, however, since he figured if she had come to get him herself, there was something wrong. Or something important that she wanted him to see or be aware of.

James breathes a sigh of relief and sets off at a lope for the nearest village to steal some propper clothing, nomatter that he hates the feeling of becomming human again. "I will wear human clothing to look human, I will draw back my hair to seem more like Man." he tells Fire as his bare feet eat up the ground. They are almost there anyhow.

*And what if I told you that this Sleigter only wants your Daughter hmmm?* responds the Alpha wolf waspishly. *He wont stay if he obtains her. Knowing our ways or not wont make him a Member of the pack Shadow." sighs Storm, trying to be patient. *And I already sent Remorce off to scout these humans who took your child.* information and wary frustration rolled into one.

Tempest pauses, scents the air and adjusts her course. She doesnt bother to see if Pyro is here, following her, she can hear the woods-half-unwise human's tred. She stops before James and speaks with him catching him, and Fire, up on her idea. She doesnt trust Sleighter.

James glances at Pyro with utter frustration. "Dumah...taken by other village man, Vortiger." says the Joined-child haultingly to the human before him. " Remorse far ahead tracking -return soon, Sleighter...gone to Hunt MEN, Fire, Tempest and I...follow. You come to help?" he asks impatiently to Pyro. "Need..." he plucks at the leather pants he wears and thinks of a word he hasnt said since childhood. "clothing..more human Pyro..have ideas on this?" Worry gnaws at the boy as he waits for a responce; maybe he hadnt spoken clear enough.

Shadow lifted his head, growling deep in his chest. "She will not fall for him. And he will not take my daughter." he snarled, but as Storm continued to speak, he let go of his anger, and stood, slowing pacing his den. He snorted, barked an order to Dusk, telling her to stay here and wait for other news, before he took off toward the village that he had been pacing by so he could see Dumah.

Pyro knew for a fact that his boots were loud on the ground, but he couldn't care. He ran quickly after the white and gold wolf, adjusting his satchel on his shoulder as he made his way swiftly across the land after her. His gaze fell to the black and red wolf and to James, and he made yet another distasteful sound. His brows furrowed, but he did, in fact, understand. With a heavy sigh, he drew his satchel off and opened it, pulling a pair of leather pants and a cloth shirt, holding them out to James. "They're mine, so they might be a bit small, but they should work." he told him. "Slater should be able to get Dumah. I made him promise to protect her for me. Why are you all so worried?" he asked them in a confused tone.

James considers the words of Pyro and thinks of what to say in reply. "The man who....took Dumah says.." he furrows his brow as he continues to think. " 'Witch! Dumah is Witch' , I may not be ... villager anymore, but I know 'Witch' is not good." the Joined-Child shakes his head in disdain. "We..dont Like Man.,..much, but Wolves take...care..of Family. Same does Wolf take care of Taken-Joined kin. You .. Sleighter." he carefully picks up the shirt, his own pants would work, they look the same as the ones offered. "Thank you...for the...cloth...shirt."

*No, your daughter will no fall for him. * agrees Storm nodding, though he knows it is all in his head. "Sleighter...is her Kin. Even humans frown on THAT sort of thing." contempt laces the mental voice of the dark wolf. *But he does desire to take her away, to take her back to the pack-grounds of Man.*

Tempest take a seat beside Fire and touches his shoulder in warm greeting. "So you shall come too Fire?" she asks. "I am looking forward to traveling with you." says the white wolf, half-listening to James and Pyro.

Shadow growled again, the sound reverberating in his chest and throat. "As I said," he growled out, "He will not take my daughter. I will make certain of it." His response was sharp and, of course, certain, but stubbornly ignorant. There was no way that Shadow could keep Dumah here if she chose to go with Slater, unless he forced her to stay. He didn't want her to feel caged or restricted, but he did not want to lose Dumah more than once.

Pyro frowned, putting the extra pair of pants back in the satchel and putting it back over his shoulder, his fingers resting comfortably on the handles of his blades, as his bow and quiver had been left at the house. "He would be considered a Joined-Child, right? Because he wasn't Taken, like my sister was. He came by himself. Slater is my family, and so is Dumah. And if you are hers, then you are mine. I will defend you." he said. He looked down to the she-wolf as she pressed her shoulder into the blind wolf's, who dipped his head in response and spoke to her in their native wolf language, which he could not understand. "Of course," he said, his gaze returning to the Taken Child before him.
"Yes, I will. Dumah saved me and my sister two years ago. It's about time I do the same for her. She is the only family I have left, other than Dusk. And Shadow would be devastated if she didn't come home safely." he answered her, giving a warm rumble in his throat. "As am I, Tempest."

Tempest nods; "I come because James asked, because I believe he wishes to court her." a shrug, her green gaze is locked on the human who is not her friend..well, yet. The white wolf blinks and continues to speak, "If you do not mind me asking, how did Silence save you?"

"Sleighter.... not a Joined-child, not part Wolf, not pack." responds James haultingly. "Not Pack-mind; You, maybe (insert the sign for alittle)...be a Joined; like me." he nods to himself as if Pyro knows all about the cutoms of the wolf. "Not Sleighter, not...wolf, not Claimed thoughts. You...see?" asks the Joined curiously, he shrugs the shirt on, surprised at the sage scent on it, or is it lavender? Shaking off the curious scent he says, "We packs shall...defend...you too." says the boy in reply.

Storm yawns and gets to his feet, races toward the other Alpha, tracking by the thoughts and the images in the other's mind. He is soon beside the other Alpha in the darkness. "And I shall happilly help you with that." he tells Shadow quietly, a yard and a half away.

Pyro nodded in understanding, though he didn't understand completely what he meant. "So what you're saying is, he cannot be taught? Because he is used to being on his own, that he will not adjust to being a wolf, like you and Dumah?" He looked down at the wolves, "Alright, we should get going now," his gaze flickered up to James, and he turned, picking up a swift but light jog toward the other village. "I understand what you mean," he tells him, "Slater is very stubborn. I do not think he came to the pack for the reasons he claimed to, though..." he sounds a little disappointed, but he did not slow.
Fire showed the fae a small glimpse of the night he'd nearly burned the forest down and a thirteen-year-old Dumah had taken he and Dusk home with her, and nursed the both of them back to health with the help of a bright-eyed wolf and his mate, who had deep brown fur and gorgeous blue eyes. "However, Maya, Shadow's first mate, was killed by hunters hardly a month after he took us in." he told her, before pushed himself to all fours once more and began to pad after Pyro.
