Hazuki shook as she cried. She ignored the pain that was throbbing through her arm.

"That's all?" Aine asked. That she could do easily enough; she'd been stealing stale and rotten food all her life. How hard could fresh food be?

Aine nodded. She expected as much. No honor among theives. She didn't plan on getting caught; getting caught would mean serving under the Monsean court as a Graceling. Aine stood back up on her feet. "When should I start?" For the first time she could remember, Aine actually felt confident.

Damien shrugged. "Whenever, but I have to show you to the kitchen so you can tell them your name. Since you live here, they need to make sure you're doing your job."
