Fang held up his hands and shook his head show his innocence. "Don't look at me like that, I was just supervising," he looked up at Max through pieces of dark hair that fell in his face and gave her a little grin. He could tell she was understandably mad, but the circumstances and the death glare she was giving him made it hard for him to be serious.

My arched eyebrow rose a little, and I tilted my head, my eyes studying his face intently. "I wasn't looking at you to blame you, Fang," I said patiently, keeping my arms crossed. It was hard to keep up my rock-hard exterior when his smile, the hair that fell into his eyes, made me want to melt. "I was looking at you for a detailed explanation."

"Right," Fang said, "Well, I heard Kirose scream and came outside to find her tackled to the ground by a medium sized iguana. So we followed it to the house, found out it was a jumper and followed it inside where it found Angel. It walked back outside and found Kirose's glass picture. Then it told us to name it, so Kirose named it Yoshi, it said goodbye and then we watched it disappear," he spoke calmly and rationally, as if this sort of thing happened every morning.

I blinked once, twice, and then a third time, before my face cracked into a wide grin. I ran my fingers through my hair, struggling against the hysterical laughter that was bubbling up in my stomach and throat, and instead coughed heavily, looking down at the ground, a few strong giggles, breaking through my coughs. "Wow, mkay," I said, then looked up at Fang. "I'm kinda bummed that I missed out on that."

Fang stepped towards her in concern as she started coughing, but once she started giggling and looked up at him, he wiped the concern from his face. He grinned back at her and even ventured so far as to give a quiet laugh, "Yeah, it was...interesting." He held her gaze for a moment, unable to look away before he realized he was staring and moved his gaze down to Angel and then over at Lee. "Let's get back to the house, the newbies will probably be wondering where we are," he said, turning and starting to walk in the direction of the house.

Kirose floated back to the surface after afew minutes, she had swam afew yards from shore, but could still see everyone perfectly. I just want to get movig as soon as possible, this place is giving me the creeps. Plus, I usually abandon the picture after it's drawn, so it would be breaking tradition if I stayed any longer. She shrugged, and dove back underwater. She could see much larger fish swimming in these parts, the kind of fish you'd see on fancy boating shows. They were nearly as large as she was, and Kirose was tall, like any normal bird kid. This must be were the shallows drop off.... She thought to herself, and broke the surface again.

I grinned back at him, then regained my composure when he looked away, a slight blush highlighting against my dark red-brown-blond hair when I also realized that I'd been staring too. I coughed again to clear my lungs of giggles, then sighed, following after him. I paused by Angel and smiled, reaching down and picking her up, holding her to my side like I always did when she was very little, and like I still did now. I kissed her forehead, then smiled again, brushing a piece of hair from her eyes while walking to Fang's side. "What was the iguana thinking?" I asked her, confused and curious.

Lee looked closely at Max's reaction to Fang's explamation, and shook his head with a smirk. "What a morning." He turned to the house with a sigh, unfurling his wings and looking over his shoulder. "Are you coming?" He launched himself into the air and quickly soared up thirty feet, waiting for the rest of the flock. It would be rude not to, right?

Kirose watched as they all walked away from the beach. I don't think I'll ever be able to really warm up to the idea of living with them. I can barely stand to be in spitting distance of some of them, but that's life I guess. Just deal with it. She swam back to shore, and unfurled her wings. She flapped them afew times, before flying after the rest of the avians. I really can't find a place here, not my sytle I guess. Always the odd-ball. She rolled her eyes at that thought, and looked over at the house.
