What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

This is my first Mutato and a GA
and im so happy about how this came out
though i think the Firefiles could have came out better.
And im so so sorry if i made it to dark.;u;

Any way the most important thing is that of course is
to Not NOT post until Akami or Tsukiko posts!

Name
I decided on Hotaru because it means firefly in Japanese.
Reason
I know it's pretty lame to just choose the name of the thing it's based on, but Hotaru is just a name that stuck. It fit and I really really liked it. Plus Japanese for the win ^3^
Quirk
When Hotaru feels like he has to do something important, he always runs away for a while and comes back knowing what to do. It's more of a habit than a quirk though.

Name of the Mutato;; Éclairer
Reason for choosing the name;; éclairer is the French term for illuminate, her nickname would be Claire.
Quirk ;; She likes to make little dream jars and sometimes put fake fireflies in them. She does not want to harm them, but loves to see them flit around the night sky.
Why do you want her;; When I was little, I lived in an area with tons of fireflies at night. I would always go out and look at them and I was always struck with awe. I moved a few years later to an area with lots of bugs. Among those bugs, there were no fireflies. I miss seeing their little glow as they fly, and this Mutato is a wonderful representation of them.

Name of the Mutato;; Lumen.

Reason for choosing the name;; Latin for "glow." I thought it was soft, like his personality. Also,I knew as soon as I saw him that I wanted him to seem old-fashioned and foreign.

Quirk ;; He scratches himself a lot, mostly behind his ear. He does this when he's feeling sheepish, when he's caught doing something stupid, when he makes a mistake, or when he's otherwise feeling uncomfortable.

Personality;; Gentle and flowing, soft-spoken, deliberate in both word and action, extremely caring of others. Very empathetic. Somewhat of a romantic. That's how he's supposed to be. When I look at him, he reminds me of all those nights so many years ago when I would stand outside in my backyard with my mom and just look as the moon rose up and the fireflies came out. I would run out in my bare feet on the damp grass and try to catch them, and on a good day she would go too, and when I got one I'd play with it, then let it go and watch it fly away. I miss those days so much. It was the time before everything went to hell, when my dad was still around and my mom still loved me and didn't not understand me and I didn't have this bitterness or this broken heart, because I was just a kid. I was just a kid and everything was simple. The only pain I knew was the loss of my two cats and a grand-uncle I hardly saw. It was peace. That's what this Mutato is about. Peace.

Reason for choosing the name;; Noirceur is the French word for darkness. This Mutato is mainly composed of darker tones, and simply naming her "Darkness" simply wouldn't do.

Quirk ;; On summer nights, Noirceur enjoys wandering around outside, searching for fireflies floating near the brooks and rivers. Once she finds a small group of them, she likes to capture them inside jars and watch them glow.
