A tom-boy farmer's daughter, Maggie has a tough exterior. She's got a bit of an attitude, but she can be very loving when you earn it. She had lived in the belief that the walkers were just sick people, thinking there would be a cure. When Rick and the others showed up, this thought was abolished. She was devastated when they were all killed, and this was only made worse by the loss of her step-mother Patricia and step-brother Jimmy. She soon made friends with the others, though, and fell in love with Glenn. She's now travelling with the group, her only family left being her father Hershal and half-sister Beth.

Rick was lucky to have survived his coma, let alone stay
unconcious long enough for the hoard rampaging the hospital to
disperse. He woke up in the hospital, confused and frightened for
the fact that so many people were dead. He was found by Morgan
and Duane Jones, who explains to him of the apocalypse. He
eventually finds everyone else, reunited with his wifee- Lori- and
son Carl. He is found by his now good friend Glenn, who aids him
in getting to safety, and ultimately, the group.
