Shadow wiped away the tears streaming down her cheeks. She shifted into a small grey tabby cat to make it easier for Jake to carry her.

Jake came to a clearing, everything about it screamed good. It was lightly lit, but comforting. He ser Shadow down, "I told you I'd protect, I'm sorry for failing you," he said as he sat, shoulders slumped, his head in his hands.

She drifts over to jake. No, you didnt fail her, nor will you ever.

Shadow looked up at him. "Technically I'm safe. So you have nothing to be sorry about." She said as she gently hugged him.

Cat returns and awakens slightley frightend from her dream. " Were's Shadow and Jake?" She says alarmed.

Jake closed his eyes, and rapped his long arms around Shadow. But he still felt like he was responsible for Chandler.
