Ren's eyes opened, but he was still looking at the ground like the grass was suddenly very interesting. His wings gave a small jerk of surprise when the arm wrapped around his middle, and being that they where out of human eyesight it was fine. He quickly tucked them against his back with a deep sigh. "A flight won't help. I'll be fine, worrying helps me focus on what's important." Ren said simply, straightening his spine and sliding his hands back in his pockets.

Hiro blinked when Jinx kissed his cheek but didn't do much else. He nodded silently in response to her statement and pointed to the door, hoping she knew what to do. He didn't really know where he wanted to go but depending on what was around, it shouldn't be too hard to find out where they were.

Dirk shrugged and disentangled himself from Ren, though he stayed leaning against him while he spoke. "Okay, if ya say so. If ya change your mind, ya know where to find me," and with that, he hopped down from the tree once again and wandered off to look for a clear space to take off. Just talking about flying made him want to bust off his jacket and take to the skies, but he preferred not to get sticks and leaves in his wings, thank you very much.

I ruffled Hiro's unruly mass of blondish curls with a smile before peeking through the small hole in the door to ensure that all was quiet. It was still relatively early so no one seemed to be out and about just yet. Slowly but surely I eased the door open and cringed at the squeak that seemed to echo though the halls. I looked to Hiro and silently asked him to lead since I'd been pretty much asleep on the way to the room.

Ren frowned slightly when Dirk got up to leave. He was good company. Ren decided it'd be good to stretch his wings, or at least that could be his excuse for not wanting to be alone. He slid off the branch silently, spreading out his wings. The teen didn't mind getting a few leaves stuck on them, they'd shake loose once he took flight. With a few nice downstrokes, he shot over Dirk's head, swiping at his hair playfully as he passed. He probably wouldn't appreciate it.

Hiro frowned and ran his fingers through his hair when she mussed it up, trying to tame it down at least a little. Maybe he'd ask her to give him a haircut later. He raised an eyebrow at her look before he remembered, oh yeah, she was practically dead last night. He chuckled and led her through the short hall and up the tiny flight of stairs to the door they'd entered through last night. Thankfully, it locked from the inside so all he had to do was push the handle down and they were out.

Dirk yelled an annoyed noise before making a beeline toward Ren, coming up behind him and snatching one of his shoes. He grinned and angled his wings sharply upward, holding the well-loved shoe close to his side. Well, this would be fun and time consuming for a while.

Ren gave a yelp as he was tugged backwards from his shoe getting snatched. He have a huff as Dirk flew off with his red converse, a light smile playing on his lips. In the next fee moments he was shooting towards Dirk, giving a sharp downstroke to whip forward and wrap his arms around the other's waist, pinning his wings so the teen would have to carry his dead weight.

Dirk grunted as Ren's full weight settled on his back, starting to drag him down with every stroke of his wings. Before he could just hand the shoe to him though, he realised what kind of position they were in. He covered his face with one hand, the other gripping the shoe with white knuckles as his face and ears turned beet red within a matter of milliseconds. Gah, was he trying to do this, or was he just really good at accidentally teasing him?

Ren could literally feel the waves of heat radiating off of Dirk. He was in 'don't worry about anything' mode, so whatever Dirk was feeling didn't effect him. He grinned and kept his wings pinned, resting his head on the other's shoulder just to bug him. "Gimme the shoe and I'll let go." He chirped, his worries long forgotten. At least for now. Ren reached for the red converse anyways, hooking his legs around Dirk's to keep himself up.

We were surprisingly close to the exit which was pretty great. Hiro was always thinking it seemed, even when I wasn't. Once soft click and a few seconds later I was finally freed and boy did it feel good. I pulled my hoodie off and secured it around my waist before stretching my wings with a slight grimace. Ugh, they were sore from being cramped up for so long. "Should we just fly around first or do you have a specific place in mind?"

Ren speaking hadn't brought Dirk out of his embarrassed reverie, but the new movement around his legs definitely did, and he moved his arms at last, nudging the shoe up onto his shoulder blades, between his wings so the older could get it. Afterwards, he proceeded to cover his face with both of his hands and scream silently into them. "Ohgodohgodohgodohgodohgod..." he groaned into his hands quietly, his entire head from the neck up burning hot, no matter how hard he tried to make the heavy blush go away.

Hiro shrugged as he breathed in the cool morning air, stretching his wings out as he stepped up to the edge. He leaned over and looked down, the alley they'd passed through the night before looking much less sinister in the daylight. "Let's just fly around for a while," he muttered, stepping forward and falling lightly off the edge of the building before reappearing not two seconds later with his wings fully outstretched and taking on the full brunt of the soft breeze.
