For the first time, she saw how skinny it was. And young. She felt sympathy curl up in her stomach. She tossed the mouse to the fox. "Oh, fine, take it," she said. The fox grabbed the mouse and ran away. "Idiot." she told herself. "Take care of yourself and stop feeding the foxes." But the pity wouldn't let go of her stomach. She caught herself a different mouse and ate that one.

Orangetail saw her and walked over. "hey, where have you been! I've been looking all over the forest for you!" he said.

Frostpaw woke up with a yawn and shifted to his other side. Lazily he opened his eyes and nudged his sister lightly. "Vaporpaw. . . Wake up. . ." After several attempts of waking her, he gave up and slowly padded out of the den. He sat down and let the morning sunshine sink in. He closed his eyes blocking out all outside noises and tried to relax.

Shadowpaw bounded up to frost paw. "Hello!" He was bored and had nothing to do.

Flamespots' head shot up. "Wha- Orangetail? Why are you all the way out here?" She gave the air a sniff. "Hey, is Wolfcry with you? I keep thinking I catch his scent, but I can never tell for certain."

Wolfcry looked from the tree his family was in, and stretched. Then he noticed a strong smell. He spotted Flamespots and his eyes grew wide. "Oh no.." He murmured. Trying to think if he should run or get Moon.

Flamespots tilted her head. "See, there it is again," she said. Then she spotted him. "Oh, hi Wolfcry. How are you?"

Orangetail spun around. "wolfcry. what are you doing?'" he asked, flattening his ears slightly.

"Uh.. Uh.." Wolfcry looked at his family. "We gotta go!" He mewed, and they jumped up hissing.

Orangetail saw wolfcry and he darted towards them, and climbed up the tree, till he reached a branch near wolfcry. "tell me. what. are . you. doing? are you leaving the clan?" he said hissing slightly
