everyone has a reason to commit a crime when committed, but not everyone goes out with the intention to file murder under the same crime. everything happens in a flash, first you commit the crime, then someone gets in the way and before you can think, they lay there dead because you panicked.

before you know it your heading off towards prison, but not just any prison, your going straight to shawshank. your going there for life, which is normally thirty years, but that is a very long time to be inside the prison walls, after all they can drive you mad. The walls become your support, the prison becomes your home after time, you forget about your life outside, and whilst your inside society forgets about you and moves on, faster than you can imagine.

when your in shawshank, no one cares about you, no one from the outside wants anything to do with you. you learn to have no connection to the outside, you lose hope in yourself and your family and friends become a vivid memory. the only people you have to support you now are your fellow inmates, and thats only if they like you, you got to make a good impression, its either that or become the outcast.

oh and one more thing, no one successfully escapes shawshank, not now not ever... but there was this one time, when andy dufresne escaped shawshank prison, but since then there has been a crack down on security. some people believe that the legend of andy dufresne was a myth, but then there is the others.

Tess' Rules → Like everyone else i expect you to obey the rules Tess has placed, and also keep common sense in mind.

Literacy → Semi-literate, meaning you must be capable of writing around five to three sentences, even with writers block sorry but its not much to ask of you. also reread for spelling mistakes or any confusing parts, it makes things easier and neater.

Characters → No one is perfect, seriously no one. If your character is perfect then i wont accept, everyone needs flaws somewhere along the line. make you character different, with hair, piercings, tattoos, even add pets if you wish. i would prefer if every character was straight. you can play two characters if you wish, i would prefer one boy and one girl but im not forcing you to make opposite genders, make two girls for all i care. ages must be between eighteen and twenty five, i like more mature characters talking age wise. i do not like anime and i strictly forbid it, sorry but this is realistic not cartoon. you can face claim famous people, i allow it. every character is in shawshank for murder and another crime, as the murder just happened as the plot suggests.

Fading black → Fading black is required in any inappropriate time. also romance isnt instant, and i do encourage drama and heartbreak, make it interesting, but this is a prison roleplay, so dont revolve around romance, have fights and stuff, smuggle stuff into the prison, make it fun and exciting.

ooc → Use brackets for any ooc speaking, and be polite, no fighting or spamming.

Forms→ I like pretty forms, whether they be short or long, i dont care just make them neat, pretty and organized and ill be happy, just dont slack off to much with you spelling and information, i do read these forms you know, and i dont have to accept you. also you must have pictures, not having them is a big no no. and finally, pm to reserve. i do not accept rule breakers.

She needed the money, badly. Any kid who needed to run away due to her parent's violent methods would agree with her idea. She had no money, and couldn't get a job without college. The problem was, at the time Hunter was only sixteen. She could drive, but that was basically it. She couldn't even afford to live in a moldy old shack. She needed money, and everywhere she went required at least eighteen year olds. Robbery was the only option. She had hoped that it would't come to this, but she believed that most of the people she robbed from wouldn't miss their old possessions. House after house was mysteriously robbed, and every time Hunter would be at the nearest gas station in her beat up car, buying some potato chips and a drink. There was never a trace of who had robbed the house, how they had gotten in, only what they had stolen. The only way most even knew of the robberies was when their possessions were found missing a week or so later. Life was easier for Hunter, the bills were finally getting paid, and she was almost twenty. She'd been living off of her thefts for two years, and had also gotten a job as a waitress this past year. She still robbed quietly, only hitting the houses once every month or so. She was planning a small heist with a friend who was nearly broke, but as they opened the window, an alarm went off. Home security systems were rare in this part of town, and she hadn't expected one. They raced down into the woods behind the house, where their bikes were hidden. Hunter had been in such a rush to get out of that place, that she'd forgotten to wear her glove when opening and closing the window. She raced into an alley where the police were waiting. Hunter used the only thing she had left; survival instinct. She shot blindly and missed most of the policemen. They held her down and she was placed in shawshank.
