Dan just watched as the vet gave the fox gave her the small pill. He had no idea what it had in it, but it seemed to help her; she visibly relaxed, and her breathing deepened. As the vet got up to leave for his home, he went and stood by the fox. Nudge had just given her a necklace, and he briefly smiled; even in the darkness, the child had found a way to try and help, which was heartening. "Hey, Syk. We're going to find a way to make you better, okay?" he said, not knowing if the fox could actually hear him. She'd gone through such intense pain just a few minutes ago; she was probably exhausted. Nonetheless, he found it necessary to say. He didn't know what to do yet; should they bring down a mattress, some food and water for her, or just bring her upstairs? Should they just wait for her to decide? He didn't know, and as he morphed into a human, he bit his lip anxiously. He hadn't been in a situation like this in a few years. There'd been mostly peace between the humans and morphs for a while now. Although there was no truce, no one had tried to attack the other until now. Would a lock-down have to be made? He wasn't sure; he'd never had to do that before.

Sam staggered around a road as a maned wolf, and somehow managed to transform back into a human. He could smell others like him. He tripped as he fell into the vet. "Help... something.. happened to me and I keep..." he coughed, and it came out as a growl. He looked up at Dan. "Please..."

She started to follow behind the cheetah back toward the building. "Been here? Not long, actually. I just got here about mid afternoon hours, I'd guess. It seemed like a lot of people were already here when I had arrived. Have you been here long?" She smiled to the girl. Chance seemed younger to Shalah. Her personality kind of contributed to this thinking. It didn't bother her in the slightest, she was just taking note of this new ally.

He watched her morph to her feline self and try to squeeze through the hole then morph back when she couldn't get through. Not saying anything, he smiled and ignored the blushing in her cheeks. Everyone messed up so he didn't feel the need for her embarrassment. When she got through, he followed in behind her making sure he didn't cut or scrape himself. He took his time getting through the hole. His slim figure helped him ease to the other side. "So, where are you taking me?"

Laika sort of lost himself in his dog form. It was like he forgot all modesty, and allowed the pup inside him to take over. He wriggled in pleasure at the feeling of the scratch, tail wagging fast. He reached deep inside himself, searching. He wouldn't morph again for a while, so as long as this leader wasn't too far away, he could be carried. Laika yipped in agreement. He decided he liked Blake. He seemed nice, and was friendly. Laika didn't usually like people, but this guy was very... understanding, and he could answer Laika's questions about morphing. He liked the leopard, Sheila, too- two new friends in one day? That has to be a record!

"I've only been here a few months," I told Shalah. "I turned sixteen right before I came here." I saw the buildings getting larger and smiled. "That was fun!" I chirped. I stopped and slowly morphed back to my human form, wincing a little. I tugged on my hoodie, straightening it, and turned to Shalah. "My house is right there," I said, pointing to a house about 12 yards away.

Scott stood up and started to leave, but stopped when Nudge told him to wait. He turned around curiously to watch as the little girl gave Syk the locket she had been wearing. The words she spoke made him smile, even though they weren't directed at him. Sometimes, encouraging words made a huge difference to someone in Syk's current condition. It gave them hope. It gave them a reason to fight. It reassured them that they had friends who would be there for them, through thick and thin. Then Nudge walked back over to him, and he held out his hand in case she wanted to hold it. ""That was really sweet of you Nudge. Thank you." he said with a warm smile as they walked outside. "So, this place where we are is actually quite big. We have a farm and a huge forest. Where would you like to explore?" he said kind of cheerfully. He wanted to try to cheer up this girl and hopefully get her mind of of Syk.

Blake smiled as he carried back to the compound where he suspected Daniel was hanging around. The puppy didn't seem to mind the petting so he continued. The kid's fur was so soft, it was hard to resist. Every once in a while, he turned to check to see if Sheila was following them. Once they arrived, he looked around. He didn't see Daniel in his wolf or human form so he assumed their leader was inside, and he was correct. Although he was stunned at what he saw, that being Syk on the floor with a puddle of blood around her even though she was bandaged up now, he did find Daniel in his human form. He walked up to the wolf morph and tapped him on the shoulder. "Um, Daniel, I know this is probably a bad time, but I found someone." he said motioning to the pup in his hands.

She looked shocked as she got inn and saw Syk on the floor with the blood and all. "What in the world happend here?!" She asked and looked at them with shock and worry if she was okay and if something dangerous was near them, she hoped it wasn't eny kind of wild animals attacking them or hunters in that case!
