"Morning, Lonelykit." Nightleaf meowed to the kit.

Lonelykit jumped, she spun around, and saw it was the deputy, Nightleaf. She intantly calmed again, "Morning Nightleaf," she she mewed sweetly as if nothing had happened.

Nightleaf smiled. "Would you like something to eat?" He asked her.

Lonelykit nodded, "I'm starving!" she mewed. She looked over at the freshkill pile, and bounced over to it. She looked back at Nightleaf, "Would you like something?" she asked.

"Im fine," Nightleaf meowed. He was the kind of cat who waited till everyone else ate before he did.

Lonelykit frowned, "Okay then," she said. She grabbed a small mouse, then came back to him, she sat down. She placed the mouse on the ground, then asked, "What's it like being deputy?"

Nightlead forced a small smile as he watched the kit. He laid down and tucked his paws under his chest and flicked an ear as she asked a question. "Well, its hard sorting all the patrols out and doing them on time." He murmured to her. "But - its a great opportunity." He purred.

Lonelykit smiled, "And you get to fill in as leader for when Sparrowstar's sick," she said. Then she frowned, "But I'm no help to the clan," she said, "I can't leave camp, hunt or do anything helpful.."
