Barkwhisker saw Rosekit and walked into the nursery and sat beside her and set the moss down. "Have you moved at all?" He asked her

"I didn't feel like moving" Rosekit replied.

"Have you eaten anything?" Barkwhisker asked

Dawnfire started to take slow, shaky steps towards where she thought the entrance was.

Darkember screeched in pain as something (and he had a good idea what) landed on his tail. He came to an abrupt stop, and Poppyflight leaped over him into the river. He leaped after her, determined to giver her a piece of his mind.

Poppyflight had stopped near the bottom of the river. Her lungs were telling her to go back up, but she was too shocked by what she saw. Was that an under water cave? she thought. She saw Darkember coming towards her her and started swimming towards the cave, trusting he would follow, if only out of irritation. I hope there's air in that cave, she thought, her lungs beginning to demand air.

Thinks she can out-swim me, huh? Darkember followed Poppyflight. Then he saw what she had seen. Is that...no, it couldn't be. Whitestar would know about it if it was. But it had to be. Acave?

Poppyflight broke the surface of the water and inhaled deeply.

Dawnfire reached the edge of the cave in relief. "Silvertail?" she called one more time. She had started to think properly, and once she had, she realized she would have heard it if Silvertail had left. Dawnfire shrugged. She must have been really quiet, she decided. Dawnfire took a deep breath and jumped into the water. She let out an earsplitting shriek. There was something furry in the water. Suddenly it all made sense. Silvertail must have fallen in and drowned while she had her paws stuffed in her ears. "Oh, Silvertail!" she sobbed.

Poppyflight collided with something furry. "Dawnfire?" she asked.

Dawnfire stopped wailing. Had Silvertail's dead body just spoken? Then she realized the truth. "Oh, Poppyflight, it's you!"

Darkember broke through the surface. "Wow, a cave! Nice find, Poppyflight. Oh, hi Dawnfire. What're you doing here?
