What is a Mutato? In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.
At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

+Name of the Mutato
Cranbury
++Reason for choosing the name
One; I love Cranberries <3
and this pets base reminds me of a cranberries color
Second; the little fuzzy baby
looks as though it is scurring around looking for a place to "bury"
something. Maybe food or a place to bury their scrumpitious berries ^v^
+Favorite summer memory of Mutato:
I stretched in the grass, squinting up at the morning sun; how long
have I been sleeping? I yawned and looked left and right across
the field; bushes and trees acting as barriers to the unknown.
In the distance, I heard a rustle in the leaves and playful giggles escaping into the
morning sky; dew drops falling as the leaves jiggled about.
Slowly, I began to crawl forewards towards the nearest patch of berry bushes. Mama
showed me those bushes awhile back and told me the tale of Mutatos. I stopped a moment
recalling her description of the tiny creatures.
She reckoned if you were lucky enough to feel ones fur it would be the softest thing you ever
did touch. I had laughed at her and picked up a piece of cotton; nothing could be as soft as
this I had told her, picking the seeds from within the white fuzz ball.
Taking a deep breath, I peered through the leaves my heart hammering against my ribs. Maybe I would
meet a Mutato and feel the soft fur my mother had told me about. I let out a sigh of relief, and disappointment
nothing was behind the leaves. My head must be achey from laying on the ground all night, I went to pull my head out
when it happened.
I stared straight into golden eyes; flecks of bronze hidden within their depth that looked upon me curiously. My mouth
hung open and I was awestruck by the pelt the color of cranberries growing in this very bush. Her tiny nose twitched as
a smile grew from ear to ear on her face; like a lightbulb had gone off in her head by my open mouth. She scurried off into the distance and I called after her in a whisper, " No.. wait don't go, I won't hurt you. "
Shyly; she came running back, her little arms behind her back. " I brought you something, you must be hungry after a long nights rest," she said softly, in her tiny sweet voice.
She set a fruit into my mouth, peering cross eyed, I tried looking on my own tongue. This made her giggle and she tapped my nose gently.
" Chew young one, or the fruit flies will get your tasty snack, " she told me, supressing a giggle. I chewed the berry and my eyes lit up with joy.
" What is this, " I asked, licking my lips, " it tastes amazing."
"It is a Cranberry my dear, " she smiled and patted my head, " I'm sure your Mama knows about them. " She paused and began to dig, pulling up another berry. " She used to come help me find the ones I would lose, " she giggled, " and we shared the treasures."
She gazed up at me, " Maybe you could help me, " she asked, her face liting up again; a spark in her eyes.
Every night that summer I slept outside, beside that cranberry patch and every morning Cranbury and I would search
for her delicate fruits. Sometimes I feel as though she is sleeping beside me on chilly nights, humming lullabys all night through her soft pelt rubbing against my skin.
Mama was right; I have never felt anything softer.
