No offense to anyone, these line arts are great! But I personally preferred this little one to stay as he was before. He looking like he was prancing and...and...I'm not sure how to describe it but before he looked so playful and stuff. That's why I wanted him.

Oh well, he was a new look now. It is cute, but I still prefer the older line art of this little guy.

Please don't judge me. I'm free to have an opinion.

Totally agree. This lil guy is cute but the lean really bugs me. I am trying to get used to them but the prance of the old style used to make me smile. If the lean was not there I would love these guys.

Just an opinion... please don't judge or throw the art theft thing in my face. Thanks.

I think this change is good. Equi might have better lines in your opinion, but her lines were traced which violates CS's own rules, which makes them look hypocritical. Also, if any photographer was to find out their photo was traced CS would probably be filed a lawsuit; and the check wouldn't be small. So, it's really just logical and as they go I bet the staff have some relief and don't feel as stressed they have copied lines on their site. :) I think the lean is actually pretty cute, but I can see why it might bother some people. Nonetheless, the anatomy is much better and they don't look as flat.

This. The lines had to be changed either way, and the replacements turned out really well. Hopefully people will get used to the change.
Honestly, I have a hard time saying I even liked the old lines. The poses were nice, but the fact that they were traced ruins it for me. Not only does it go against CS' rules, but it's incredibly lazy and makes me lose a lot of respect for equi as an artist. It doesn't take any amount of skill to trace a photograph, and I'm not at all sad to see them finally go.
The fact that Yulynh actually took the time to draw them herself makes them 1000 times better to me. (that and they're absolutely adorable!)

I actually like that the pose is a bit off with the pony. Foals are some incredibly awkward looking animals because their legs are so long and they don't know what to do with them yet. It looks like the foal just doesn't have his legs figured out just yet.

I'll always miss the unique poses that will no longer be there, like the kicking ones. It really takes away from the design of the whole time of day/night litter without that pose or one similar to it. My favorite part of that litter was that two seemed to be sleeping and two were wide awake and kicking, seeming to represent their times of day. That's how I saw them, anyway. The normal sideview of a walking pony just won't be the same in that litter.

However, I do see some people asking about the EPPS. If you didn't notice, these are the mid-stage PPS lines, meaning the EPPS lines aren't done yet. I certainly hope the roadkill EPPS ends up spectacular in its special lines. There's no way you could keep its uniqueness with a pose similar to the current pony foals.

With all that said, I'm not saying the change doesn't need to be done. I'm just disapproving with the way its done. The different poses is what made them special to me...and shoving designs from two completely different poses onto one line art will take away from that...a lot. Seeing designs go onto a completely different pose and calling them the same design just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The buckskin and lollipop pps changes dont bother me since those are the similar poses, its the others. Oh well, though. There's nothing I can do about it.

I agree with you completely, especially on the day/night litter. It's one of my favourites. I do wish they would keep it a bit more awake but, I don't mind that new line art as much. The EPPS really should be kept in a sleeping position, though. Even if it's changed, the two should be sleeping.
