'Hello Mistypaw!" Leafpaw mewed, the young apprentice bouncing around happily. Her childish eyes seemed to glint with a few streaks of nostalgia- of the times where she was carefree, a kit. "Will you play with me? Please, will you play with me?"

Brightfrost sat in her nest, thinking. She glanced at Duskpelt, thenshook her head. No matter how much she loved him, she could't have his kits yet.

Duskpelt slept, a gray mound of fur in a green mossy nest. His breathing was deep and steady.

Beaverkit felt a tear escaping from his eye. He layed down, his face in his nest.

Blossomkit walked to the fresh-kill pile and chose a blue tit. She crouched to eat it, her silver tortoiseshell fur shining in the sunlight.

(Did Brightfrost have a mate before Duskpelt? I remember Duskfur having a mate... and kits... but I can't remember who.)
