Hawkpaw smiled as they reached the apprentices den."Here we are."He said leading her to her cozy nest.He wrapped his tail around her and slowly lowered her to the ground. Letting her lie on her side.He sat down next to her and wrapped his tail around himself."Do you want me to stay with you until you fall asleep?"He asked hopefully.

Redtail sighed."Well, When I was younger I had a brother.He was just kitted and was very small.Like me he was the only one of his litter.He was kitted just after I had became an apprentice.I was playing around with him; Holding him in the air with my tail...bouncing him about with my paws when it happened.He fell of my back and landed hard on his head I tried to help him but it was too late he had cracked open his little head and lost far too much blood."He choked out the last part, Trying to the fight the urge to let thhe tears spill over.though they welled at his eyes and burned his throat.

Graystorm growled annoyedly and bounded away looking for someone more Thankful for his help.

Flowerheart spots Graystorm and pads over to him. "Whats wrong?" she asks.

Her eyes softened. she walked over to him and pressed her prof against him "I understand its all right" she began to lick his shoulder

Graystorm caught himself and looked up at Flowerheart."Oh it's you."He said biting his tounge.He stared back at the ground.After had seeing her gain her powers he had become wary of her.He was scared she might look down upon him."Nothing."He lied.

Redtail flinched as he remembered the harsh words that roled off his mothers tounge like honey.'You did this! It's all your fault!if it weren'tt for you he might still be alive!'She had hissed."No you don't."He whispered too quietly for her to hear.He rubbed hs cheek against hers inspite of wanting to run away and grieve all over again.

Smudgepaw fell asleep. A dark brown cat dragged her legs up to see Smudgepaw.
