What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

It's an Old Norse name meaning to have knowledge or to know. Related to what I think the Mutato,s based off of, I see the world tree being the center of all knowledge.

What is She Based off of?;; I believe this Mutato is based off of a life cycle... A beginning (the spores) and the end (the cut down tree)

Personally, I would name this girl Spiro Breviati, but seriously, call her Spiro. She hates her second name. Yes, I know it's a boy's name, but there is a logical reason.

I would name her Spiro because in Latin, it means life, and Breviati means cut short. So her name is "Life Cut Short", just like the picture of the tree suggests.

Spiro here is based off a tree that was chopped down. It symbolizes that trees live too, as her tail shows the sky, in sadness of a plant being chopped down.

"Humans are the only animals stupid enough to chop down trees, make paper, then write 'Save the Trees!' on it."

Spiro's quote up there pretty much fits together all of the pieces; humans are destroying nature to fit to their needs, when their needs are in nature. And that's what she's based off of.
