-PROLOGUE-
''Steelpaw, You are the one who will save the Clan. Treefur, You are the one to be the greatest leader. Skystripe, you will be the bravest elder. Racoontail, You will be the one to drive off foes. Nutfoot, You will be the one to hunt for the Clan.'' The night sky was dark, blazing with stars. It had never been such a harsh journey. ''Its a sign from StarClan,'' Raccoontail meowed. ''But is it true?'' The moon shined through the stars. ''May StarClan light your path.'' Steelpaw yawned, as he looked up at the sky.

-CHAPTER 1-
''Treefur, Wake up!'' The ginger tom mewed. The warriors den was silent. Treefur had been dreaming about what may happen. ''Stop...Stop!'' Treefur had realized it was a dream, as he saw Snakefur wake her up. ''Oh, it was just a dream.'' She shook the moss out of her fur, then grabbed a sparrow from the fresh-kill pile. The other cats were wondering if Treefur was okay. Snakefur had knew Treefur had a bad dream. He skipped towards Treefur. ''Had a bad dream?'' The ginger tom had realized the fresh-kill pile was empty. ''Rainfrost, I want you to lead the hunting patrol. Branchpool, Airpelt, and Flamepaw, I want you to follow.'' Darkstar announced. The four cats crouched through the entrance, watching carefully for prey. Squirrel! Flamepaw stalked the plump squirrel, as he leaped up the tree to get it. The squirrel had dangled in his jaws. Owltail had peeked out of the nursery, and wish she hadn't broken the warrior code. Dimpaw skipped over to Snakefur. ''Snakefur, can we go explore the ravine more?'' He perked his ears, as the breeze swept through the forest. ''Okay, Dimpaw.'' He had remembered it was a few days ago when Dimpaw had became an apprentice. Dimpaw and Snakefur walked out of camp, and walked to the ravine. ''I'll stay here just in case anything happens.'' Snakefur mewed. Dimpaw climbed onto the ravine, his claws sinking into the ground. He slipped, but Dimpaw stayed strong. The gray apprentice made it up onto the ravine, as Snakefur climbed up with him. ''Wow!'' Dimpaw shouted, as he walked farther on the ravine. He slipped as he was walking. ''Snakefur, help me!!'' Dimpaw was shocked with fear. Snakefur grabbed onto his paw, pulling him up slowly. ''Hang on, Dimpaw.'' Dimpaw sank his claws into the earth, and tried to pull himself up. Finally, Rosepaw rushed up the ravine, and helped the gray apprentice up the ravine. Dimpaw was exhausted, and tired. ''We must get him to Mistydust.'' Snakefur meowed, carrying Dimpaw back to camp. Mistydust sat in his den, sorting herbs.''Mistydust, you have got to save Dimpaw!'' Snakefur shouted.
