This guide is meant to help any new members to CS to better understand what Butterfly Wolves are, how they grow and where to get them.

Butterfly Wolves are normally a monthly adoptable. They are very easy to distinguish between other pets because of their very large Butterfly Wings and long tails.

When you adopt them, they begin life as a little Caterpillar. After several days, the Caterpillar will then turn into a Cocoon, which then turns into a full grown Butterfly Wolf after several more days.



Unlike the 2nd Gens, where the same blanket turns into the same dog, Caterpillars do not always turn into the same Butterfly Wolf. In 2008, you were able to adopt 8 different butterfly wolves. These have now been retired, and are no longer available to adopt, but when they were, they were considered extremely common from mass adoptions, and hardly useful for trading. Now though, the butterfly wolves are not as easy to come by.

Tess originally created them when she opened CS in June 2008 and they stuck around till late August 2009. These Butterfly Wolves are most commonly referred to as the "Front-Page B-wolves" as they were available for almost two years. (e.g. Red Front-page Butterfly Wolf, Teal Front-page Butterfly Wolf, etc.).
