It would have been so easy for me to just jump up and swipe him out of the sky but I refrain from doing so since I owed him a small debt for helping me out with my burns. There was no need to respond to his behavior and even if I wanted to stick my tongue out at him in response, it'd only result in me looking foolish and getting a bunch of drool all over myself.

Ren gave a gentle smile as Damon held his temper. Good job, dog. He gave a quiet huff, then gave a strong downstroke, sending him back up above the trees. He loved just catching drafts of wind and sailing on them smoothly, no movement of his wings needed.

Sighing I focused myself completely on the task of not tripping over tree roots that jutted up from the Earth as well as fallen trees and rotting logs. Nettles and thorns cut me up a bit but other than that I was fine.

The moment we arrived I ignored everything in favor of plopping down and giving my aching muscles a rest. It had been a while since I'd had such a physically demanding run and all I wanted to do now, was rest. My blue orbs scanned the cave for a moment before finally closing as I relaxed and allowed my breathing to even out.

The only thing I want is that feather and then I'll be on my way." I didn't struggle at all as he bound my wrists. I was confident that I could wriggle my way out or just gnaw at the rope until it broke. Then again, doing that would put me in a lot of pain since wolves weren't able to bend that way. If I had any luck, I'd just be able to break free with my strength alone. Unfortunately, I seemed to be running out of luck.
